Finally, I would like to remind everyone that losing weight can also lead to amenorrhea. Some people may find this strange, but it is a harsh objective reality. In the United States and other Western countries, the incidence of amenorrhea among women who diet to lose weight is as high as over 20%. Although the country has not conducted statistics in this regard, there are occasional reports in gynecological clinics, which should arouse sufficient attention from women.

In traditional Chinese medicine, the causes of amenorrhea are rather complicated and can be simply divided into two types: deficiency and excess. Deficiency means that there is insufficient menstrual blood, so menstruation does not come. Excess means that although there is menstruation, it does not flow smoothly, so there is no menstruation either. For young people, patients with deficiency syndrome are relatively rare, but there are many patients with excess syndrome. The most common method of regulating amenorrhea is to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. It is recommended that you take safflower wine. Use 50 grams of safflower, 1000 ml of rice wine, and an appropriate amount of brown sugar. Wash the safflower, dry it, put it into a gauze bag together with brown sugar, put it into a wine jar, cover it and seal it, soak it for 1 week before taking it. Take 50 ml each time, twice a day, for 6 consecutive days per month.

If it is empirical. You can take equal parts of Polygonatum sibiricum and Angelica sinensis, boil them in water to get the concentrated juice, add appropriate amount of honey, mix well, boil, and take 1 to 2 spoons each time. This recipe is called Nine-Turn Polygonatum Paste, which is very suitable for women who have not yet stopped menstruating. It originated from "Hejijufang". The Polygonatum in the recipe is a good medicine for tonic and has been highly praised by medical practitioners of all dynasties. Ji Kang of the Three Kingdoms period got the secret of longevity from a Taoist priest, which was taking Polygonatum. He wrote about this in "A Letter of Breaking Off Friendship with Shan Juyuan". Angelica sinensis can nourish blood and soften liver, and can be eaten not only by women, but also by frail elderly people and children.
