How to deal with genital folliculitis in pregnant women

The physical health of pregnant women cannot be ignored. Once a problem occurs, it will cause a series of chain reactions, seriously damaging the health of the pregnant woman and the fetus. Among various problems, genital problems are the most common and have the greatest impact. Among them, genital folliculitis is a more serious one. Let’s see what pregnant women should do if they have genital folliculitis? I hope everyone can understand it.

If you don't have any other physical discomfort, you can just choose to have regular prenatal checkups. Generally, it will not affect the fetus. It is recommended to do a Down syndrome screening test around 16-18 weeks of pregnancy to rule out the possibility of fetal malformations.

There are many types of vaginitis, such as increased vaginal discharge and vaginal and vulvar itching. It is recommended to go to the hospital for a doctor's examination. The effect of symptomatic and causal treatment based on the examination results is good. It is recommended to pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, wash and change underwear frequently, and dry them in the sun after washing. Both parties should wash their hands before having sex and then touch each other.

Women with vulvar folliculitis should pay attention to the following points:

1. Pay attention to skin cleaning, enhance the body's resistance, prevent trauma, and actively treat itchy skin diseases and systemic chronic diseases. Under the guidance of a professional doctor, antibiotics can be used as appropriate. 1% neomycin ointment, mupirocin ointment, fusidic acid ointment or 2% iodine tincture can be applied topically. Ultraviolet light can also be used. For patients with recurrent attacks, autologous vaccine or polyvalent staphylococcal vaccine can be used.

2. Patients must be careful to avoid covering, heat and excessive sweating, do not wash their hair frequently, do not wear pants that are too tight or too hard, and at the same time pay attention to personal hygiene, strengthen physical exercise, and enhance disease resistance.

3. Pay attention to eating less alcohol and sour, spicy and other irritating foods. People with recurrent attacks should eat less greasy food, eat more vegetables and fruits, increase vitamins, and keep bowel movements smooth.

4. To treat or control vulvar folliculitis in pregnant women, the principles are local sterilization, anti-inflammatory and drying.

5. Oral antibiotics such as erythromycin or amoxicillin-clavulanate potassium tablets can be used under the guidance of a professional doctor.
