White discharge from the vulva

White discharge from the vulva

Normal female genitals will secrete leucorrhea, and the color of normal leucorrhea is generally white or transparent. Only when a woman has inflammation in her body, the leucorrhea may appear brown. If a woman's leucorrhea flows more, some white secretions may accumulate at the vulva. So how to clean the white secretions at the vulva of a woman?

Under normal circumstances, there will be vaginal secretions, but if the secretions are excessive, this may be due to inflammation. Such situations can be treated with medication frequently, and the genitals should be kept dry and clean. Also pay attention to menstrual hygiene and sexual hygiene.

Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell. The amount and texture of leucorrhea are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and vary periodically with the menstrual cycle, with varying amounts, textures and thicknesses. Generally, the amount of leucorrhea is less after the menstrual period; before ovulation, the increase in estrogen levels in the body promotes the proliferation of epithelial cells of the cervical glands, the secretion of cervical mucus increases, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus increases, which can absorb more water, causing the leucorrhea to increase during ovulation, and the texture is thin, clear, and looks like egg white, which can be stretched into long threads; after ovulation, estrogen levels gradually decrease, progesterone levels increase, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus also decreases, making the leucorrhea at this time thick, milky white, with poor ductility, and easy to break when drawn.

In addition, there are also some physiological phenomena such as pregnancy and oral contraceptives, which can cause an increase in vaginal discharge. The cause is also related to changes in estrogen and progesterone levels in the body. If your vaginal discharge increases for no apparent reason, or is accompanied by changes in color, texture, or odor, you should be alert.

Common causes of increased vaginal discharge include:

① In case of candidal vaginitis, the leucorrhea is yellow or white, mostly viscous, sometimes thin, and typically in the form of tofu dregs or curds;

② The leucorrhea of Trichomonas vaginitis is thin pus-like, yellow, and foamy, or like rice water, grayish white, and smelly;

③When the cervix is eroded, the leucorrhea is usually yellow, sticky like pus, and odorless;

④ The leucorrhea of gonorrhea is yellow pus-like
