How to know you are pregnant as soon as possible

If you want a child, once you successfully conceive, you will definitely want to know the news as soon as possible. There are many characteristics of a successful pregnancy. In addition to judging by symptoms, you can also test it with early pregnancy test strips. For families who are anxious to become parents, the fastest treatment method becomes the most important concern. So, how can you know that you are pregnant as soon as possible? Let’s take a look below.

How to know you are pregnant as soon as possible

If you have not taken any contraceptive measures, have had normal sexual life before and after ovulation, and have normal menstrual cycles, but suddenly your period has not come after a week, you should go to the hospital to check your urine to determine whether you are pregnant. At this time, the hospital can generally detect signs of pregnancy. If it is one month past due, it is easy to be sure that you are pregnant. This is the fastest way to detect pregnancy. However, it is possible that some women may be pregnant but still have their period once or twice when it is due. But careful people will feel that the menstrual blood is less than usual and the period is shorter than before.

In addition, under normal circumstances, pregnant mothers should have an ultrasound examination in the early stages of pregnancy (around 12 weeks of pregnancy). Pregnant mothers should avoid having B-ultrasounds too early or too many times. Doing an ultrasound too early may cause the fragile, newly formed embryo to be shaken, which is not conducive to embryonic development. B-ultrasound in early pregnancy is to confirm whether the pregnancy is ongoing and how many days the pregnancy has lasted, to provide a reliable basis for determining the expected date of delivery, and to promptly detect any abnormalities in embryonic development. The second B-ultrasound examination is usually scheduled in the middle of pregnancy (around 20 weeks of pregnancy). At this time, there is relatively more amniotic fluid in the uterus, the fetus is of moderate size, and there is a large space for movement in the uterus. For the B-ultrasound examination, there is better contrast, and the various organs of the fetus can be clearly seen.

More obvious malformations, such as congenital heart disease, anencephaly, hydrocephalus, spina bifida, abdominal wall defect, short limbs, polycystic kidney disease, and gastrointestinal atresia are easy to detect. If necessary, timely treatment or termination of pregnancy can be carried out. The third B-ultrasound examination should be arranged in the late pregnancy (around 28 weeks of pregnancy), mainly to understand the development of the fetus in the uterus and to check again whether the fetus has any malformations. Because some diseases may not be discovered in time during the second trimester of pregnancy by ultrasound examination.

Does B-ultrasound have any effect on the fetus?

It is of great significance for pregnant women to do B-ultrasound. B-ultrasound can diagnose whether the baby's growth and development is normal, whether there are any deformities, whether the position of the placenta is suitable for natural delivery, and other questions. But the more B-ultrasounds you do, the better. Ultrasound is a physical factor, a kind of energy. If a pregnant woman has too many B-ultrasounds in the early stages of pregnancy, it may affect the fetus. Generally, it is better not to have more than 4 B-ultrasounds during pregnancy. It is recommended that only one ultrasound be done in the early stages of pregnancy. The specific time is after 8 weeks of pregnancy. In addition to routine gynecological examinations, pregnant women should use B-ultrasound to determine whether the intrauterine pregnancy is normal and rule out abnormal conditions such as ectopic pregnancy, twins, and hydatidiform mole.

The B-ultrasound currently used in clinical practice emits a sound intensity of less than 10mW/cm2 from its probe, and the ultrasound examination usually takes only 5-10 minutes, with the detection time for each organ being even shorter. Therefore, B-ultrasound examination poses little harm to the fetus and will not affect its physical development. Therefore, pregnant women do not need to be afraid of B-ultrasound examinations during pregnancy. Timely B-ultrasound examinations are an important means to ensure the normal development of the fetus. During the entire pregnancy, an ultrasound examination should be performed once in the early, middle and late stages. Some pregnant mothers are unclear about the purpose of B-ultrasound. In order to find out the gender of the fetus, they go to multiple hospitals for repeated B-ultrasound examinations, which is not good for both mother and baby. Studies have shown that if the B-ultrasound time exceeds 20 minutes, it will have irreversible adverse effects on the fetus. Therefore, it is recommended that pregnant women do not undergo B-ultrasound casually unless there are any abnormal conditions during the entire pregnancy.
