Why is morning urine pregnancy test more accurate?

Usually when testing for pregnancy, we are advised to choose morning urination because it will be more accurate. The reason for choosing morning urination is that people drink less water at night. After a night of sleep, the concentration of urine is relatively high. Testing for pregnancy at this time is most effective. Compared with the usual time period, it is more effective and faster to detect whether you are pregnant?

How to use early pregnancy test paper:

Determine the testing time: You can test on the day of your missed period, or 7-10 days after having sex.

Testing method: Collect urine (first morning urine is preferred), insert the test strip, and observe the result within 5 minutes.

Judgment of test results:

Positive: Color bands appear on both the upper and lower ends of the test strip, indicating pregnancy.

Negative: Only a purple-red band appears on the upper end of the test strip and no band appears on the lower end, indicating that you are not pregnant.

How to use early pregnancy test paper correctly

Many women are accustomed to using early pregnancy test strips to test whether they are pregnant, and hospitals also commonly use this method to test. Early pregnancy test strips are easy and quick to use, but will they give you a false message?

In fact, although early pregnancy test strips are said to have a 99% accuracy rate, you must not overly trust your self-test results. According to expert statistics, the correct testing rate of early pregnancy test strips varies greatly, ranging from 50% to 98%.

Why is there such a big difference? Gynecologists point out that when women do self-pregnancy tests at home without any external guidance, the test results are generally only 50% to 75% accurate. If this test is done in a laboratory in the presence of a doctor, the doctor can ensure that the test strip is working properly and the woman can have the test without any discomfort.

If you use the test strips correctly according to the instructions, the test accuracy may be close to 100%.

The manufacturers of early pregnancy test strips and ovulation self-test mirrors claim: "In the laboratory, it has been confirmed that today's early pregnancy test strips are accurate up to 99%. However, when women use early pregnancy test strips, they must remember to follow the instructions meticulously to ensure that the test results are correct and reliable." However, in actual operation, it is not easy to use them correctly according to the instructions.

The instructions for some early pregnancy test strips read: "Urine toward one end of the self-test card with the absorbent tip facing downwards. Do not let the display window face your body to avoid splashing urine on it." Some early pregnancy test strips instruct users to "hold the urine burette and drop three drops of urine 3 cm above the urine dish at the bottom of the test strip." If you read the details of these instructions carefully several times and think them over again and again, there will probably be no problem. However, for a woman who is nervous and panicked because of the fear of pregnancy, mistakes are inevitable because she cannot calmly and patiently follow the instructions. Moreover, the test results are very confusing. Both the color reaction and the line reaction are difficult to explain.
