Why is there a piece of flesh at the vagina?

The health of women’s reproductive system is a very important matter, which has a great impact on women’s quality of life. Moreover, the health of the genitals is the most vulnerable in the reproductive system. Many women will find that some abnormal tissues grow in their genitals. For example, sarcoma-like substances often make many women feel troubled. Let’s take a look at why women have a piece of meat at the opening of their genitals?

1. Genital warts of vulva

Genital warts are a sexually transmitted disease caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Warts in women are most common on the clitoris, labia, perianal area, vagina and cervix. The incubation period of this disease is 1 to 8 months, usually an average of 3 months. Genital warts are often asymptomatic and painless in the early stages. At the beginning, genital warts are very small, some are flat papules, and some are slightly raised. They are difficult to detect if you don't pay attention. After it grows a little bigger, it becomes the cauliflower-like warts we see most often. They protrude from the skin, have an uneven surface, and have many small thorns.

Some warts can grow very large and even merge into one large piece; some may even be infected and develop erosion, suppuration, etc. Therefore, once you find small bumps on the vulva or feel something growing in the anus, you must go to the gynecology or dermatology department for treatment in time.

2. Pseudo-condyloma acuminatum of vulva

Vulvar pseudocondyloma acuminatum is a condition similar to condyloma acuminatum that occurs when women's sex hormone levels are high and their vulva is stimulated by excessive secretions for a long time. It is a chronic nonspecific proliferative inflammatory disease with no obvious relationship with sexual life. Female pseudowarts often occur on the inner side of the labia minora, the vaginal vestibule and around the urethral opening. They are small, uniform, light red or white papules with a diameter of 1-2 mm. They have a smooth surface and a villous appearance. Some may appear as uniform, polyp-like papules or filamentous protrusions. They can exist for a long time and generally do not change significantly over a long period of time.

In clinical practice, we can differentiate it from genital warts through acetic acid white test, HPV test, pathological test, etc. It is important to remind everyone that vulvar pseudocondyloma acuminatum generally does not require treatment.

3. Remnant edge of hymen

The remnant edge of the hymen refers to the mucosal flap left after the rupture of the hymen after sexual intercourse. It is a common "pseudo" vaginal growth in clinical practice. Most women find small fleshy lumps at the vaginal opening after sexual intercourse, without redness, swelling, pain, itching or discomfort. Generally, no treatment is required. If a woman finds a similar situation, it is best to go to the gynecology clinic for diagnosis.
