My period is coming and I have breast pain

Menstruation is an important sign of maturity in a woman's body. As long as a woman has menstruation, it means that she has a certain degree of fertility. However, many women experience great pain during menstruation, because menstruation causes great damage to women's qi and blood, and makes women feel some pain. Before menstruation, women's bodies will also show some symptoms. Some women experience breast pain. Is this normal?

According to statistics, more than 2/3 of women experience breast pain or discomfort before their menstrual period. The entire breast becomes swollen, hard, and tender, and the granular or nodular feeling on the areola is more obvious. This is a normal physiological phenomenon. This is mainly because when women are about to have their period, the secretion of hormones changes, which stimulates the breasts and causes breast pain. How to relieve breast pain when menstruation is coming?

Hot and cold compress: If the breast pain is very obvious and makes people feel very uncomfortable, you can use a hot towel to compress, or use alternating hot and cold compresses to relieve the pain, which will be more effective. Or, when taking a bath, use alternating hot and cold water to stimulate the pain.

Eat light food: In terms of diet, eat less spicy, oily, cold, and spicy food to avoid increasing tissue edema and making the symptoms worse. Maintain a light diet, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, and consume protein in moderation.

Good mood: If you are in a bad mood, the feeling of chest swelling and pain will be more obvious, and it may easily cause menstrual irregularities, so you must maintain a good mood.

Don’t drink coffee: It is best to stop drinking coffee one week before your period, otherwise it will cause adverse stimulation to your breasts.

Adjust the size of the bra: Pay attention to adjusting the size of the bra to avoid the breasts being compressed by the bra and aggravating the pain.

Massage relief: You can gently massage to relieve discomfort, but be careful to use light force.

Eat some soothing foods: You can eat some roses, red bean soup, etc. to relieve physical discomfort. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, especially foods supplemented with vitamin C and B vitamins, as well as calcium and magnesium, which can inhibit the effects of prolactin and relieve pain.
