What is the reason for the pain on both sides of the lower abdomen during ovulation?

Only when a woman ovulates normally can it mean that her fertility is normal. If a woman cannot ovulate, it means that she is infertile. Therefore, the ovulation period is also very important for a woman, but many women often only pay attention to their menstrual period and ignore some abnormal situations during the ovulation period. Why do some women experience abdominal distension and pain on both sides during ovulation?

Women must ensure a healthy ovulation period to ensure normal fertility. If there is a problem with a woman's ovulation period, it will affect the chances of successful pregnancy. Therefore, women must take good care of their ovulation period and seek timely treatment if any discomfort occurs.

What causes pain in the lower abdomen on both sides during ovulation?

Some women experience mild lower abdominal pain on both sides two weeks before their period, but no problem is found. This situation is ovulation abdominal pain. Abdominal pain caused by ovulation is called ovulation pain. As the follicles develop and mature, their volume continues to increase, the amount of follicular fluid increases, and they gradually move to the surface of the ovary, protruding from the ovarian capsule. When the egg cell is fully developed and mature, the follicle membrane and ovarian capsule will dissolve and rupture, and the egg cell will be slowly squeezed out. This is ovulation. During ovulation, the follicles and the fluid inside the follicles overflow into the abdominal cavity, stimulating the peritoneum and causing abdominal pain. This is ovulation abdominal pain. If the ovaries ovulate alternately on both sides, abdominal pain may occur alternately in the lower abdomen on both sides every month.

Many diseases and factors may cause abdominal pain, so abdominal pain caused by other diseases should be ruled out before diagnosing this disease. It can be identified by measuring the basal body temperature over a period of time. If the time of abdominal pain coincides with the time of ovulation, it is ovulation abdominal pain. Of course, not every woman experiences ovulation pain every month.

Ovulation abdominal pain is a physiological phenomenon and does not require treatment. If the abdominal pain is severe, you can take some painkillers or take short-acting contraceptives orally for a period of time.
