Sweating is a normal physiological phenomenon in the human body, but when the human body has some kind of disease, sweating becomes very abnormal, especially when people have a cold or are sick, they often sweat profusely. For women who have just given birth, they often experience many abnormal conditions in their bodies during the confinement period. Some women keep sweating during the confinement period. What should they do at this time? Is it normal to sweat a lot during pregnancy? In the first few days after delivery, mothers will feel that they sweat a lot, especially after meals, after activities, when sleeping and after waking up. Clinically, we call this "bed sweat", which is mainly because the skin's excretion function is strong after delivery. Most of the water accumulated in the body during pregnancy will be discharged through the skin. This is a physiological phenomenon of the body recovering and regulating itself after delivery. In addition, drinking more brown sugar water, hot soup, and hot porridge after childbirth is also one of the reasons for excessive sweating. Bed sweat usually improves on its own about a week after delivery, so mothers don't need to worry. How to deal with postpartum sweating? 1. First of all, you must ensure that you do not catch a cold after delivery, but this does not mean that you should wear more clothes and cover more. The amount of sweat after delivery is relatively large, so in terms of clothing, the underwear should be made of cotton products with strong water absorption, and the outer clothes should be soft and breathable. 2. During confinement, it is more comfortable to keep the indoor temperature at around 26~28℃. If the weather is too hot, you can turn on the air conditioner, but do not lower the temperature too much to avoid catching a cold. 3. There should be plenty of sunlight in the room and windows should be opened appropriately for ventilation. It should be noted that it is best for mother and baby to leave the room temporarily when ventilating. 4. Keep your body clean and hygienic. Generally, you can take a bath 3 days after a normal delivery, while for a caesarean section, it depends on the healing of the wound. If the healing is good, you can take a bath in 1 week. |
