Pregnant women with hemorrhoids and constipation can't defecate

I believe that many people are familiar with the disease of hemorrhoids, which has a great impact on people's physical health. Many people are prone to this disease, especially some pregnant women, which is mainly caused by their sitting or lying for a long time. Some pregnant women suffer from constipation after suffering from hemorrhoids and cannot defecate for a long time. So what methods should be used to treat or resolve this situation?

Hemorrhoids are not abscesses caused by infection. They are varicose veins formed by the expansion and bending of the venous plexus at the lower end of the rectum, anal canal and around the anus due to various reasons.

To treat constipation and hemorrhoids, first of all, you need to keep your bowels open. If expectant mothers develop good habits, it is entirely possible to avoid constipation. The following tips can keep you away from troubles:

You should develop a good habit of regular bowel movements.

Choose soft and clean toilet paper.

Wash your vulva and anus with warm water. In order to promote blood circulation in the anus and help venous return, you can wash the vulva and anus with warm water after defecation and before going to bed every day. You can also take a sitz bath with warm 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution to keep the anus clean.

Do levator ani muscle exercises. The method is to do the action of holding back a bowel movement, lift up the anus, and then relax. Do it about 30 times each time, once in the morning and once in the evening.

After getting up early every morning, drink a glass of honey water (can be mixed with warm water) on an empty stomach to promote bowel movements.

On weekdays, you should eat some green vegetables that are rich in fiber, such as leek, celery, loofah, cabbage, spinach, etc. to prevent constipation.

When your stool is dry and hard, you can eat some foods that can moisturize the intestines and promote bowel movements, such as bananas and black sesame seeds. When eating sesame seeds, first wash the black sesame seeds, fry them and grind them into powder, add a small amount of honey or white sugar, take two spoons each time, twice a day.

After the internal hemorrhoids prolapse, you can push them back in gently with your hands.

Also avoid the following practices:

When squatting on the toilet, do not read books or newspapers or squat or sit for a long time.

Don't strain too much when defecating.

Do not use Chinese herbal medicines such as Glauber's salt, rhubarb, and senna to treat constipation.

Don't eat spicy food. For dishes cooked with condiments such as cinnamon, mushroom fragrance, pepper, chili, onion, garlic, ginger, etc., only a small amount should be used, or try not to use them.

Don't drink any wine, including rice wine, white wine or beer.

Although hemorrhoids can be treated surgically, it is not advisable for expectant mothers to undergo surgery in the late stages of pregnancy and should be considered after delivery. After delivery, the intra-abdominal pressure is reduced and the obstruction of venous return is relieved. Hemorrhoids will often shrink and shrink on their own within three or four months after delivery, and no surgical treatment is required.
