How long after giving birth can you get pregnant again?

How long after giving birth can you get pregnant again?

Considering that the times are progressing very quickly, many women will choose to take a vacation and prepare for pregnancy at home. They want a second child immediately after giving birth because it is just the right time to take advantage of the vacation, and they can go to work smoothly after giving birth without affecting their daily lives. In fact, it is not recommended to get pregnant quickly after giving birth. Depending on the difference between natural delivery and caesarean section, whether you can get pregnant immediately depends on the type of delivery chosen.

1. Natural birth:

(1) Breastfeeding: If you breastfeed after giving birth, your period may not come for 1 to 2 months, or even up to half a year. If the woman is a multiparous woman, 26% of her will have her period within three months. You can get pregnant again after your menstruation becomes regular, but it should be noted that the first menstruation after delivery will be more irregular.

(2) Not breastfeeding: Menstruation will come about 6 to 8 weeks after delivery, and usually 91% of women will have menstruation within three months.

2. Caesarean section:

You have to wait for the wound to recover. Generally speaking, the wound will recover 60% to 70% in about a week; if the wound is to fully recover, it will take three months.

However, the above is only a medical consideration. If we take other factors into consideration, such as: Babies usually have to wait for half a year before adding complementary foods, how long will it take before they are easier to take care of? In addition, there are financial burdens and schooling issues. Therefore, Dr. Jiang Qixin recommends that it is best to wait 1 to 2 years before getting pregnant. However, older women are advised to prepare for pregnancy as soon as they start ovulating, because the chances of pregnancy are lower and the chances of miscarriage are higher.

Many children and grandchildren bring more blessings?

As the saying goes, having many children and grandchildren means more blessings, but now this saying may be greatly discounted! Because having too many children not only makes it impossible for each child to receive complete care, but it also has an impact on the mother's body. Dr. Jiang Qixin said that if a mother gives birth to many children, her uterus and pelvic cavity will expand more times and to a greater extent, causing them to become loose. In addition, complications may occur, which can be divided into the following categories depending on whether it is a natural birth or a caesarean section:

1. Natural birth

(1) Coughing too hard will cause urine to leak, which is called urinary incontinence.

(2) Cause prolapse of the bladder, uterus, and rectum.

2. Caesarean section

(1) Pelvic adhesions.

(2) The chance of uterine rupture is relatively increased.

(3) The scar tissue of the wound is unsightly.

Except for patients with heart disease, kidney disease, and high blood pressure who may suffer maternal accidents due to pregnancy and are not suitable for pregnancy, Dr. Jiang Qixin recommends that as long as you are suitable for pregnancy, you can decide how many children to have considering the family's finances, resources, and family plans.

Postpartum care

Traditional Chinese medicine has the concept of confinement after childbirth, but in Western medicine, the emphasis is on diet and exercise after childbirth. This is because no matter whether it is a caesarean section or a natural birth, there will be wounds, so the wounds must be taken care of; after delivery, the amount of lochia and the condition of uterine contraction must also be observed; in addition, the situation of postpartum breastfeeding, breast care, and care must also be paid attention to.

1. Diet: Eat more protein (such as chicken, beef, etc.), fruits, and vitamins. This will not only ensure a balanced diet, but will also be beneficial for breastfeeding mothers.

2. Exercise: Postpartum exercise is very important. It can help you restore your figure early, and perineal contraction exercises can prevent urinary incontinence. Exercises that can be done include: ani lifting exercises.

Ageing affects fertility

Currently, the age of advanced maternal age refers to those over 34 years old. The older the age, the higher the chance of chromosomal abnormalities and the chance of having a problem baby. As for the age at which infertility is more likely to occur, for women it is after the age of 37. Women at this age find it difficult to get pregnant and are more likely to have miscarriages, while for men it is over the age of 40.
