What are the symptoms of ovulation?

Women all have ovulation periods, and having sex during ovulation periods makes it easier for women to get pregnant. Women's ovulation period is generally regular. You can calculate your ovulation period based on your menstrual date. The reactions of women's bodies during ovulation are also different. Women can also judge whether they have entered the ovulation period based on the specific conditions of their own bodies. So, what are the symptoms of female ovulation?

1. Strong sexual desire

Studies have shown that women's sexual desire is particularly strong during ovulation, which is a natural instinctive reaction for humans to reproduce. On the other hand, if you are planning to get pregnant, the strong psychological need for conception at this time will also make you exude a strong sexual desire.

2. Increased vaginal discharge

When ovulation arrives, a very obvious symptom is an increase in vaginal secretions, which are egg white-like, tough, and can be stretched into threads. The longest can reach more than ten centimeters. When the leucorrhea is stretched to the longest, ovulation usually occurs within 24 hours. This state of increased secretions usually lasts for 2-3 days.

3. Biphasic changes in body temperature

Studies have shown that during ovulation, due to the rupture of the follicle, the estrogen level in a woman's body will drop sharply, causing the basal body temperature to drop. After ovulation, the corpus luteum begins to secrete estrogen and progesterone in large quantities, causing the basal body temperature to rise by about 0.5°C, showing a typical high-low biphasic change.

4. Minor bleeding

Due to the decrease in estrogen levels after ovulation, the endometrium cannot maintain growth, causing local shedding of the endometrium and a small amount of breakthrough bleeding. Most bleeding is normal and will stop on its own after 2-3 days.

5. Slight pain in the lower abdomen

Occasionally, there will be mild lower abdominal pain during ovulation, which we usually call ovulation pain. This is because during ovulation, the surface of the ovary ruptures and the egg is discharged. This rupture process will cause pain in the lower abdomen on one side of more sensitive women. If you pay attention, you will find that the same feeling will appear on the other side of the lower abdomen next month.

In addition, many women will experience breast swelling or nipple pain during ovulation, and sometimes they can hardly touch their nipples. The breast symptoms may continue until the eve of the next menstrual period.

6. Anal falling sensation

When the egg is released, it will break through the follicle on its surface, and a small amount of fluid in the follicle will flow into the lowest part of the pelvic cavity. Therefore, some sensitive women during ovulation will feel a slight falling sensation in the anus.

7. Decreased Appetite

Studies have shown that women eat the least during their ovulation period during the entire menstrual cycle. This is because during this period women focus more on having sex and conceiving rather than eating.

8. Decreased immunity

During ovulation, in order to allow sperm to pass through the female vagina more smoothly and combine with the egg, the mucus in the vagina will become thinner. At the same time, the mucus in the female nasal cavity will also decrease during this stage, increasing the possibility of bacterial invasion.

When is the best time to have sex during ovulation?

From the day when menstruation is over to the day before ovulation, the period of time before ovulation is the safe period before ovulation; from the first day after the end of ovulation to the day of the next menstrual cramps is the safe period after ovulation. The best time to have sex is in the middle. Because around the 14th day after menstruation, it is the ovulation period.

After the ovulation period begins, have sex every other day to ensure the quality of sperm and maximize the chance of pregnancy. After sex, it is best for women to lie on their backs for a while to promote conception. One week before ovulation, have sex once every two days. This will ensure that the sperm quality is guaranteed and it can reach the fallopian tube early or on time to meet with the egg to form a fertilized egg.

The best time to have sex is between 5 and 7 pm. Because both the number and quality of sperm vary greatly throughout the day, and reach their peak during this period, when women are most likely to become pregnant.
