What does cervicitis look like?

The treatment of cervicitis is mainly antibiotic treatment. For secondary pathogens, relatively sensitive antibiotics should be selected for the pathogens. Empirical treatment should include treatment for various possible pathogenic microorganisms, including aerobic bacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, mycoplasma and chlamydia. Patients with high-risk factors for reproductive tract infection, especially those under 25 years old, with new or multiple sexual partners, and who did not use condoms during sexual intercourse, should be treated with mycoplasma-positive antibiotics. For young patients or those who are prone to gonorrhea, antibiotics for gonococci should be used. Cephalosporins and erythromycin are recommended for treatment during pregnancy.

For patients with cervicitis, it is recommended to carry out basic cervical cancer screening to eliminate precancerous lesions of the cervix. If no abnormalities are found, antibiotic anti-infection treatment should be carried out.

You can choose oral roxithromycin, levofloxacin, levofloxacin, ornidazole and other drugs for combination treatment, you can also choose intravenous treatment, such as cefoxitin sodium, penicillin hydrochloride, ornidazole and other combination treatments, the treatment course should be at least 14 days. In addition to medication, attention should be paid to maintaining a protected sexual life during the treatment period and washing the vulva with warm water every day.

Inflammation of the cervix is one of the common gynecological diseases. The pathogens that cause infectious endometritis can be divided into bacteria, viruses, bacteria, malarial parasites and sparganosis. Non-infectious factors include local inflammation, such as repair of epithelial cell damage and contraceptive rings. Studies have shown that the main cause of the disease is infection. The vast majority of patients with cervicitis have no symptoms. The specific manifestations of symptoms are increased vaginal mucopurulent secretions. If the secretions irritate the private parts, it may cause itching and burning sensation. There may also be bleeding during intercourse, or frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, and painful urination.
