Sometimes they can only make temporary changes to the formation, which has a great impact on the outcome of the game. But the health of the players is more important. The female players of the Chinese national football team also admitted that they were in great pain during their menstrual period. Sometimes they could only endure and continue training and competing. If all else failed, they could only take medicine to delay their menstrual period.

All in all, it will definitely have an impact on female athletes participating in competitions during their menstrual period, but there are also some strong athletes who can overcome the pain and even win precious championships. Chinese female swimmer Zhao Jing is a typical example. Zhao Jing had her menstrual period twice during competitions, but she won the championship twice. Zhao Jing won the championship at the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai. This was the first time she experienced her menstrual period during a competition. Two years later, at the Barcelona Swimming World Championships, Zhao Jing once again won the championship during her menstrual period. Zhao Jing's experience makes people respect her.

It is understood that many female athletes have no choice but to use drugs to delay their menstrual periods in order to cope with the competition. However, these drugs are harmful to the body and have obvious side effects, which are often accompanied by nausea, vomiting and headaches. Over time it may also lead to endocrine disorders. Therefore, many female athletes generally do not tend to use drugs during their menstrual period. In this case, they can only rely on willpower to get through it.

During their menstrual period, girls may feel physical discomfort and some may even experience pain. If we add high-intensity exercise and even competition in water, one can imagine how much pain the female players have to endure. Therefore, we must fully respect female athletes and give them more encouragement and support.
