How long has it been since I was pregnant?

We all know that women will stop menstruating and nurture the fetus after they become pregnant. However, for girls who are pregnant for the first time, they don’t know what to pay attention to during pregnancy, and they don’t even know how to deal with the disappearance of menstruation. Therefore, girls need to be prepared and receive knowledge education before becoming pregnant, which can not only protect themselves but also protect their fetuses. So, how long does it take for menstruation to stop during pregnancy?

1. Why do I get pregnant during my period?

1. Because the fertilized egg implantation is not stable, the placenta has not been formed, and the menstrual period is approaching or has arrived, a mature egg will still be discharged and then discharged from the body along with the shedding of the endometrium, causing a small number of pregnant women to think they are menstruating.

2. Due to individual differences and other reasons, some women's ovaries secrete relatively low levels of sex hormones, especially progesterone, after pregnancy, causing a small part of the endometrium to continue to shed. Therefore, these women will still have menstruation after pregnancy, but the amount of menstruation will be much less than normal. It is not until three months into pregnancy that the placenta is formed and the estrogen and progesterone levels in the female body are maintained at a relatively high level. At this time, the endometrium no longer sheds and menstruation no longer occurs.

2. What should you pay attention to in early pregnancy

1. When a pregnant woman's hands touch ice, the blood vessels in the uterus will contract, which will affect the blood circulation of the fetus and affect its growth. Therefore, pregnant women should eat less ice cream, popsicles and other foods. As for cold drinks, they can be kept at room temperature as long as the temperature is above 10°C.

2. If you smoke during the first three months of pregnancy, it may increase the chance of the fetus having cleft lip or cleft palate. If you smoke during pregnancy or frequently inhale secondhand smoke, your baby will be more likely to have learning disabilities or behavioral problems in the future.

3. If you blindly think that you are weak during pregnancy, and blindly take tonic foods such as ginseng, which is sweet, warm and hot, it will be like adding fuel to the fire, which will inevitably cause a sudden increase in internal heat and blood heat. In severe cases, it may lead to threatened abortion, or prolong the labor process and cause dystocia.

4. Basically, except for several high-risk pregnancies (such as placenta previa, antepartum hemorrhage, urgent abortion, and incomplete cervical occlusion), sexual intercourse can be allowed throughout the pregnancy. During sexual intercourse, if a pregnant woman experiences strong uterine contractions, abnormal bleeding, severe lower abdominal pain, etc., she should stop sexual intercourse and seek medical attention as soon as possible. Condoms should be worn during intercourse to reduce vaginal inflammation, cervical inflammation and early rupture of membranes.
