Premenstrual oral ulcers

Premenstrual oral ulcers

Girls always face many troubles before menstruation, not only dysmenorrhea, but also changes in various parts of the body. Many girls will have oral ulcers before menstruation. Some girls may think that this is caused by getting too hot. In fact, this is caused by a disorder of the body's endocrine system, which requires attention and targeted treatment. So, what is the cause of oral ulcers before menstruation?

1. Causes of oral ulcers before menstruation

Because our body's estrogen levels fluctuate greatly before and after menstruation, and women have a large number of estrogen receptors on their gum tissue, which can be easily affected by hormonal changes. Hormonal changes don't cause gum disease, but they can aggravate underlying oral problems, such as oral inflammation, especially canker sores, which often start two days before your period, so they're called menstrual canker sores. But sometimes premenstrual mouth ulcers are caused by factors such as sunlight, cold weather, stress, tiredness and fatigue.

2. What to do if you have oral ulcers before menstruation

If you find that you have mouth ulcers before your period, you need to treat it early to reduce the risk of mouth ulcers becoming more severe during menstruation. Some doctors recommend taking lysine oral solution or a mixture of lysine, zinc, and vitamin C, which is effective for treating premenstrual mouth ulcers. Tea tree oil has been widely used to treat various ulcers and skin conditions. It has antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and can be used to treat external oral ulcers.

3. Prevention of oral ulcers before menstruation

Menstruation can wreak havoc on your body, with mood swings, irritability, bloating, etc., but this can further aggravate your premenstrual mouth ulcer situation. To prevent premenstrual oral ulcers, you need to maintain a good mood. Also eating healthy well-made nutritious foods and practicing good oral hygiene can further prevent and stop mouth ulcers. Brush your teeth at least twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste; rinse your mouth at least once a day with an antibacterial mouthwash. Get professional oral exams and cleanings twice a year, avoid sugary or starchy snacks, and avoid stress.

I believe that everyone already understands the causes and treatment methods of premenstrual oral ulcers. Premenstrual oral ulcers are not terrible. The important thing is to learn how to prevent and treat them and develop good living habits.
