Breast pain is a common symptom among women in daily life. There are many reasons for this pain. Sometimes it is because the breasts have been traumatized or the breasts have been excessively squeezed by the husband during sex. Sometimes it may be due to illness. There are many different types of breast pain, such as nipple pain, which has a higher probability of occurrence. So why do nipples hurt? There are six main types of breast pain women experience. 1. Breast pain during puberty: It usually occurs between the ages of 9 and 13. After menarche, the pain disappears on its own. 2. Premenstrual nipple pain: Many women experience breast fullness, hardness, and tenderness before menstruation. In severe cases, breast pain is caused by slight vibration or collision. This is due to increased estrogen levels in the body, breast hyperplasia, and edema of breast tissue before menstruation. After menstruation, the above changes may disappear. 3. Nipple pain during pregnancy: Some women experience breast pain around 40 days of pregnancy due to the large secretion of estrogen, progesterone, and prolactin by the placenta and villi, which causes the mammary glands to enlarge. In severe cases, this pain may last throughout the pregnancy and does not require treatment. 4. Postpartum nipple pain: Breast fullness, hardening and pain often occur 3 to 7 days after delivery. This is mainly due to mammary lymph retention, venous filling and interstitial edema and blocked mammary ducts. 5. Breast pain after artificial abortion: Because the pregnancy is suddenly interrupted, the hormone level in the body drops suddenly, causing the newly developed breasts to suddenly stop growing, resulting in breast lumps and breast pain. 6. Nipple pain after sex: This is related to the physiological changes of the breasts during sex. For those with low libido or an unharmonious sex life, the congestion and swelling of the breasts are not easy to subside or subside incompletely due to the lack of sexual satisfaction. Continuous congestion will cause breast pain. Women do not need to worry about this, but if the pain does not ease for a long time, or even becomes more severe, or if you find a bumpy, unclear edge, or poorly movable lump when touching your breast, you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible. |
