Bloody vaginal discharge after menstruation

As a woman, if you do not pay attention to your own hygiene, you are likely to get vaginitis. Women will experience dysmenorrhea for a few days every month. After their menstruation is over, they must change their underwear frequently, otherwise they will easily get vaginitis. After vaginitis occurs, not only will the lower body become itchy, but over time, it can also easily lead to cervical cancer or endometritis.

Many female friends will have abnormal leucorrhea after the menstrual period, and sometimes there will be blood in the leucorrhea. Most of the time, it is related to some gynecological inflammation, such as cervicitis. At this time, it is best to go to the hospital for a leucorrhea examination. Let’s take a look at some common reasons why bloody vaginal discharge occurs about a week after the end of menstruation.

Bloody leucorrhea Leucorrhea with blood is medically called bloody leucorrhea, and there is blood mixed in the leucorrhea. You should be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. However, benign lesions such as cervical polyps, cervical erosion, submucosal myoma, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, urethral caruncle, senile vaginitis, etc. can also cause bloody leucorrhea. Bloody leucorrhea with blood streaks caused by intrauterine contraceptive devices is also common.

1. Suffering from acute vaginitis, the main manifestation of this disease is an increase in leucorrhea, which is yellow watery or purulent and has a foul odor. In severe cases, vaginal bleeding may also occur.

2. For severe cervical erosion. Symptoms include increased vaginal discharge, yellowing, becoming sticky and smelly, vulvar itching, bleeding during sexual intercourse, lower back pain, and severe dysmenorrhea.

3. Cervical polyps are a type of chronic cervicitis, which can cause yellow leucorrhea with an odor and blood in the leucorrhea.

4. Cervical cancer. After sexual intercourse, there will be a small amount of vaginal discharge and blood.

5. Endometrial cancer. The clinical manifestation is irregular bleeding, with the amount of bleeding sometimes more and sometimes less. Non-menopausal women may have prolonged menstrual flow, and postmenopausal women will experience postmenopausal bleeding.
