Growth on the cervix

Growth on the cervix

The common growths on the cervix are usually cervical cysts or cervical polyps. The patient may not feel any discomfort at the beginning, but as time goes by, the condition continues to worsen, and it will be accompanied by varying degrees of pain. Many women are worried about having cervical cancer because it is a very harmful disease. Many women find something growing inside their cervix and worry that they may have cervical cancer. In fact, faced with such a situation, we can make our own judgment. If we have symptoms of cervical cancer, then we must take this thing inside the cervix seriously. So what is this thing growing on the cervix? Let’s take a closer look:

There are usually no symptoms in the early stages, and there is no obvious difference from chronic cervicitis. Sometimes the cervix may even be smooth, especially in elderly women whose cervix has atrophied. Most cervical cancers go through a process of development from "inflammation" to "cancer". Therefore, women should pay extra attention when they experience the following symptoms, which are mainly manifested as:

First,

Abnormal vaginal discharge

Most of the symptoms are increased vaginal discharge, accompanied by changes in color and odor. Symptoms of increased leucorrhea usually appear later than contact bleeding. Initially it is normal in color and taste, and gradually turns into serous secretions. In the late stage of cervical cancer, there may be rice-watery or watery leucorrhea.

second,

Contact bleeding

After sexual intercourse or straining due to constipation, the vaginal discharge (leucorrhea) is mixed with drops of blood, sometimes in the form of streaks, and sometimes dark red. Women who are over 30 years old, have given birth and are living with their spouse, and suddenly experience vaginal spotting after sexual intercourse should take it as an early sign of cervical cancer and take it seriously.

third,

Irregular vaginal bleeding

It manifests as minor non-menstrual vaginal bleeding between menstrual periods and vaginal bleeding after menopause. The former is easily regarded as menstrual irregularity, while the latter is easily regarded as a symptom of menopause. However, this irregular vaginal bleeding is indeed seen in the early stages of cervical cancer and is the patient's first symptom.

fourth,

Urinary tract symptoms

Early symptoms of cervical cancer may include urinary irritation, frequent urination, and blood in the stool. It may also cause pelvic and lower limb pain and lower limb swelling.

Generally speaking, early cervical cancer tumors are small and have not spread or metastasized, and the five-year survival rate after treatment is still relatively high. Early treatment of cervical cancer generally uses radiotherapy and surgery, supplemented by traditional Chinese medicine. Surgical treatment is mainly used to treat patients with early-stage cervical cancer, while radiotherapy is mainly used for patients in the middle and late stages.
