What does fertilization feel like?

After the couple has sex, if no contraceptive measures are taken, the male's semen will remain in the female's body. After a period of time, if it can combine with the egg, a fertilized egg will be formed, and finally the fertilized egg will implant. When the fertilized egg implants, the female's body will have certain reactions, such as frequent urination, cooling after implantation, and symptoms of fatigue.

How does the body react during fertilization?

1. There is generally no reaction during the fertilization process and the implantation of the fertilized egg. After the sperm enters the vagina, it can survive for 2-3 days. If ovulation occurs during this period, conception will occur. The lifespan of an egg is also about 2-3 days, while it takes one day for sperm to travel from the vagina to the fallopian tube, and two days for the fertilized egg to implant. Therefore, the time for conception after sexual intercourse should be 2+1=3 days. Pregnancy can only be considered after the fertilized egg successfully implants in the uterus. On the fourth day, the physiological reactions of pregnancy have just begun. The enzyme system during pregnancy has not yet been activated and the metabolites have not yet accumulated. The detection sensitivity of the test paper cannot achieve a clear distinction effect. After 3 weeks, you can use the test paper to judge.

2. When the fertilized egg begins mitosis, it moves toward the uterine cavity in the fallopian tube through the peristalsis of the fallopian tube and the propulsion of cilia. About the third day after fertilization, it divides into a solid cell mass composed of 16 cells, called a morula (early blastocyst). About 4 days after fertilization, the early blastocyst enters the uterine cavity and continues to divide and develop into the late blastocyst. The process of the late blastocyst invading the endometrium after the zona pellucida disappears about 6-7 days after fertilization is called implantation of the fertilized egg.

Conditions of conception

1. Men's testicles can produce normal sperm. The amount of semen ejaculated by a normal adult male is 2-6 ml, the number of sperm in each ml of semen should be more than 60 million, and 60% of the sperm are motile.

2. A woman's ovaries can produce healthy and mature eggs. For women with normal menstruation, a healthy and mature egg is released in each menstrual cycle, which gives them a chance to become pregnant. It is not easy for women to conceive due to ovarian insufficiency or irregular menstruation that causes anovulation.

3. Have normal sexual life before and after the female ovulation period to give the sperm and egg a chance to meet and fertilize. Sperm can survive in the female vagina for 1-3 days, and the egg can survive for about 1 day after being released. The female ovulates about 14 days before the next menstrual period. Conception is possible only if sexual intercourse occurs within a few days before and after ovulation. Having sex during the non-ovulatory period will not result in pregnancy.

4. The reproductive tract must be unobstructed. The male's vas deferens must be unobstructed so that sperm can be discharged through normal sexual intercourse and enter the female reproductive tract to combine with the egg. The female reproductive tract must also be unobstructed so that the sperm that enters the vagina during sexual intercourse can pass through the cervix and uterus unimpeded and reach the fallopian tube to meet the egg for fertilization. The fertilized egg can also enter the uterine cavity smoothly. If the fallopian tube is blocked, the sperm and egg will lose the opportunity to combine, so once the fallopian tube is blocked, the chance of natural conception is completely lost.

5. The intrauterine environment must be suitable for the implantation and development of the fertilized egg. After the egg is fertilized in the ampulla of the fallopian tube, it develops while moving through the fallopian tube toward the uterus. It reaches the uterine cavity after 3-4 days, is buried in the nutrient-rich endometrium after 6-8 days, and then continues to develop into a fetus. The development of the fertilized egg and the growth of the endometrium are carried out simultaneously. If the fertilized egg enters the uterine cavity earlier or later, the endometrium at this time will not be suitable for the fertilized egg to implant and continue to develop, and pregnancy will not be possible.
