Losing weight before menstruation

Losing weight before menstruation

For girls who love sports, menstruation is a very unfriendly topic. Periodic exercise is an important basis for body shaping and weight loss. If you delay it due to something, it will be no different from being lazy and will also waste the effects of previous exercise. Some people say that eating during menstruation will not make you gain weight, so some people eat like crazy during menstruation. But some people also say that they don’t lose weight when they try to lose weight before menstruation. What’s going on?

It is normal to gain weight before your period.

The reason for weight gain before menstruation is the change in the ratio of progesterone and estrogen concentrations, which causes the body to retain water. The weight gain is sometimes as high as 2 kilograms. However, the increased weight and uncomfortable feelings will gradually disappear after menstruation.

Time calculation: 1st to 7th day after the start of menstruation. When menstruation comes, due to the decrease in the secretion of progesterone, women will begin to feel depressed, low mood, and stressed, and often feel depressed and angry for no reason. If you do not get enough sleep and are overly tired during this period, temporary pigmentation may easily occur around your eyes. During the days when your period comes, your skin becomes very sensitive and your resistance is reduced. You may experience menstrual pain and be in a bad mood. Coupled with the decrease in hormone secretion, your skin will become extremely dry and your pores will become enlarged. This change usually disappears naturally on the fourth or fifth day after the start of your period.

For fat people, menstrual period will be more uncomfortable. First of all, the menstrual cycle is controlled by sex hormones (the balance between estrogen and androgen in women, through the periodic changes in estrogen concentration, resulting in periodic ovulation mechanism). The reason why obese people often have problems such as infertility, menstrual disorders, and hormone secretion is that;

1. Eating sweets and refined pasta, rice, bread, etc. increases the insulin concentration in the body, forcing the ovaries to produce too much androgen and inhibit ovulation.

2. Excessive fat in the body of obese women will continuously convert androgen into estrogen, which will prevent estrogen from forming normal concentration changes and also inhibit normal ovulation.

Before menstruation, some women will experience weight changes due to hormones, water and sodium retention, causing weight gain. Some women have a good appetite, eat more, and gain weight. After menstruation, their appetite decreases and their weight returns to normal.

Suggestions: It is recommended that you pay attention to personal hygiene after menstruation, change sanitary napkins frequently, and avoid eating cold food to avoid causing or aggravating dysmenorrhea.
