Menstrual period precautions

Menstrual period precautions

During the menstrual period, women's physical condition is relatively poor, so they must pay attention to some precautions during the menstrual period to avoid adverse effects on their health due to some bad living habits. During the menstrual period, they should pay attention to diet adjustment, avoid strenuous exercise, get enough rest, and especially pay attention to not having sexual intercourse with their spouses. Let's take a look at this aspect.

Menstrual period precautions

1. Do not use shower gel to clean the genitals

Although menstruation can cause obvious genital odor, women should not use shower gel to clean their genitals even in very hot summer. It is also unscientific to rinse the vulva with hot water many times, as this will not only breed bacteria, but also easily cause itching in the private parts and cause infection. In addition, you cannot take a sitz bath or a tub bath.

2. Don’t eat fried food

Fried foods are very harmful to the skin of women during menstruation. Usually, women's skin tends to be oily and sensitive during menstruation. Fried foods can make people more susceptible to pimples and acne, especially dark circles under the eyes. Moreover, if you always eat fried foods, fat will accumulate in your body and you will easily gain weight.

3. Don’t overdo karaoke

During this period, the capillaries in the vocal cords of women are always in a state of congestion. Excessive karaoke can easily damage the vocal cords, and the damage is permanent. Therefore, avoid singing too long or too loudly a few days before your period until it ends.

4. Don’t have sex

Having sex during menstruation is most likely to cause reproductive infection, and bacteria can directly invade the uterus, causing immeasurable damage.

5. Don’t drink alcohol

During this period, the level of alcohol-degrading enzymes in women's bodies is significantly lower, so they are particularly easy to get drunk after drinking. It also has a particularly great impact on the liver, affecting the liver's normal physiological functions.

6. Don’t pull your teeth

The platelet count during menstruation is lower, and bleeding wounds are not easy to heal. Moreover, even after healing, the bloody taste in the mouth will linger for a long time, which can easily cause nausea.

7. Don’t hit your back

Some women try to relieve the pain by beating their waists when they experience menstrual cramps, but this practice is counterproductive. Beating the waist can cause excessive congestion in the pelvis and cause more pain, and sometimes can also cause excessive menstrual bleeding.

8. Not suitable for physical examination

Women during menstruation are stimulated by hormones, and the results of physical examinations at this time are inaccurate.

9. Do not drink strong tea or coffee

The high caffeine content in strong tea and coffee can cause dysmenorrhea, excessive menstrual bleeding, etc.

10. Exercise moderately

During menstruation, do not participate in sports that require strenuous exercise, such as high jump, long jump, and long-distance running, which consume a lot of physical energy and can easily cause prolonged menstruation. Exercises that require high abdominal muscles, such as weightlifting and dumbbells, are not suitable for participation. It should be noted that swimming is also a big taboo during menstruation. During this special period, women should do some moderate exercise, such as badminton, Tai Chi, running, etc., which will help promote body circulation and relieve dysmenorrhea.
