Causes and treatment of female anovulation

Causes and treatment of female anovulation

Anovulation, also known as ovulation disorder, is one of the key causes of female infertility, accounting for about 25-30%. In addition to causing infertility, ovulation disorders can also cause menstrual disorders and amenorrhea. In severe cases, it can cause endometrial cancer and breast cancer. What is the reason why women do not ovulate? The causes of anovulation include the following:

1. Endocrine disorder of the nervous center. When the central endocrine system is disordered and the peak metabolism level of luteinizing hormone (LH) is insufficient, it cannot stimulate the cellular biological and histological changes that cause the egg wall to be digested and broken, thereby affecting the growth and development of the egg and the occurrence of ovulation.

2. Gynecological diseases. Taking pelvic inflammatory disease as an example, when both fallopian tubes become inflamed, they will enlarge and thicken, become fibrotic and cord-like, and even adhere to the ovaries, uterus and surrounding organs and tissues, forming hard and fixed lumps, which can seriously hinder ovulation.

3. Enzyme deficiency or insufficient prostacyclin. Free fatty acid lysozyme, active collagenase, and prostacyclin act on the basement membrane of the egg wall, digest the egg wall and cause the formation of the ovulation hole in the uterus and ovary. If the enzyme is lacking or prostacyclin is insufficient at this time, it will greatly affect the discharge of oocytes.

4. Hyperprolactinuria. Prolactin affects the normal secretion of gonadotropin in the pituitary gland, thereby causing ovarian disorder, affecting the normal growth and development of eggs and the ovulation function of the uterus and ovaries.

5. Mental and psychological disorders. If you are in a stressful state such as anxiety, worry, and anxiety for a long time, it may cause the blood prolactin level to repeatedly reach a small peak and affect ovulation. This condition is often accompanied by symptoms such as irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and breast pain.

What to do if you don't ovulate

Women who do not ovulate should be checked for systemic specific diseases, urinary system diseases, endocrine diseases and other multi-functional diseases.

First of all, it is necessary to check for systemic specific diseases to understand whether obesity, thyroid hormone deficiency (ovarian abnormalities, autoimmunity, metabolic abnormalities), diabetes, and psychological disorders may affect women's pregnancy.

The second step is to check the reproductive organs, check the infertility caused by diseases of the vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries and pelvis, whether the size and position of the uterus are normal, and whether there is any infection. Check whether there are lumps or tenderness in the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, the mobility of the appendages, whether the fallopian tubes are smooth, and whether the development of the uterus, fallopian tubes, and vagina is normal, and whether there are any deformities.

The third step is to check for multifunctional diseases such as endocrine disease, understand the ovulation period, measure blood cell estrogen and estrogen levels at different times of the menstrual cycle to understand the ovarian status; measure metabolic function to understand thyroid hormone; conduct regular kidney function examinations and serum prolactin measurements to understand the presence of antisperm antibodies, etc.
