1. Mental care

People with Yin deficiency constitution have a more impatient temperament and are often upset and easily angered. This is because Yin deficiency leads to excessive fire, which disturbs the mind. Therefore, they should follow the spirit-nourishing method of "tranquility and emptiness" and "keeping the spirit within" in the "Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic". People with Yin deficiency are usually thin, and thin people have more fire, often have hot hands and feet, dry mouth and throat, are afraid of heat and like coolness, can easily get through the cold winter, and feel uncomfortable in the hot summer, so they should pay attention to avoiding the heat in the hot summer.

3. Diet adjustment

People with Yin deficiency should preserve Yin and suppress Yang, eat light food, and stay away from fatty, greasy, dry and strong foods. They can eat more light foods such as sesame, glutinous rice, honey, dairy products, sugarcane, fish, etc., and should eat less spicy foods such as onion, ginger, garlic, leek, shallot, and pepper.

4. Living and sleeping

Your daily life should be regular, your living environment should be quiet, and you should not drink tea, exercise or play games before going to bed. You can go to bed early and get up early, and maintain a certain lunch break at noon. Avoid staying up late, strenuous exercise and working in high temperatures. It is advisable to exercise moderation in sexual intercourse. Quit smoking and drinking to prevent heat and toxins from damaging the yin.

5. Physical exercise

It is only suitable for intermittent physical exercises of small to medium intensity. You can choose traditional fitness programs that combine movement and stillness, such as Tai Chi, Tai Chi sword, and Qigong. When exercising, you should control the amount of sweat and replenish water in time. If your skin is very dry, you can swim more often. It is not advisable to take a sauna.
