Many women experience nipple pain before and after their menstrual period. This type of pain is generally known as menstrual nipple pain in medicine. Of course, there are many reasons for female nipple pain, such as mastitis or breast cancer, insufficient qi and blood, poor blood circulation, etc. In addition, data show that breast disease has become a common disease with the highest mortality rate among women. Therefore, it is recommended that women pay attention to protecting their breast health on a daily basis. 1. Women experience unbearable nipple itching or pain before, during or after menstruation, which is so severe that they cannot wear clothes. This pain gradually subsides after the menstrual period ends. This is called "nipple itching and pain during menstruation." The nipple belongs to the liver, so this disease is mainly caused by the liver. The main causes of this disease are qi stagnation, blood stasis and qi and blood deficiency. 2.) Qi stagnation and blood stasis: emotional damage, liver depression and qi stagnation, poor blood circulation, and nipple stasis. During menstruation, qi and blood are exuberant and stagnation is aggravated, thus causing this disease.3. Qi and blood deficiency: After menstruation, yin blood flows downward, Qi is damaged along with blood, liver blood is insufficient, spleen qi is deficient, nipples are not nourished by Qi and blood, or blood dryness generates wind and causes itching and pain 4. Breast cancer: common in women aged 20 to 40, with a slow course of disease. In the early stage, there is one or several nodules in the breast, which are painless or tender, have unclear boundaries with surrounding tissues, are often adhered to the skin, and the axillary lymph nodes on the same side may be enlarged. Clinically, there is no fever. After the pus mass softens, it forms a cold abscess; it can penetrate the skin to form a fistula or sinus tract, and discharge thin pus with cheesy debris. In a few patients, the lumps become hard lumps through fibrosis, which changes the shape of the breast and causes the nipple to retract, making it difficult to distinguish from breast cancer. |
