There are two ways of giving birth: caesarean section and natural birth. Since the pain of natural birth is unbearable, caesarean section is very common nowadays. If adhesions occur during cesarean section, the mother will have intermittent pain in her abdomen, and her stomach will feel uncomfortable and she will vomit repeatedly. Continuous abdominal distension will cause dry stools, which are difficult to excrete, aggravating the abdominal distension and creating a vicious cycle. Therefore, you must exercise early before giving birth, and you can also do moxibustion. If there is intestinal adhesion after cesarean section, there will generally be abdominal pain, abdominal distension, difficulty in passing gas, belching, dry stools, and gas masses running around in the abdomen. Now that the gas has been discharged and there is nothing abnormal with the bowel movements, the possibility of intestinal adhesion is relatively low. There are more and more patients with intestinal adhesions after cesarean section. Many mothers develop symptoms of postpartum intestinal adhesions shortly after being discharged from the hospital. Cesarean section is the largest obstetric surgery. There may be many complications and sequelae after cesarean section, and postpartum intestinal adhesions is one of them. Patients with intestinal adhesions have their intestinal tract narrowed due to adhesions, which obstructs the passage of intestinal contents. Gas and feces in the intestine cannot be discharged smoothly. As the gas and feces accumulate, the pressure in the intestinal cavity becomes greater and greater, and patients feel increased abdominal distension and difficulty defecating. 1. Abdominal discomfort and dull pain. The patient feels intermittent dull pain or discomfort in the abdomen. 2. Recurrent vomiting, which is characterized by vomiting that can be induced by eating or drinking. 3. The time of defecation and flatulence is prolonged. With the return of intestinal motility to normal 2 to 4 days after abdominal surgery, defecation and flatulence can also be restored. However, if intestinal adhesion occurs after the operation, there will still be no bowel movement or flatulence after 2 to 4 days. 4. Persistent abdominal distension. Persistent abdominal distension after surgery may be a reaction to intestinal adhesion. If it is intestinal adhesion, it may also be accompanied by signs such as local bulge of the abdomen during intestinal peristalsis, active and hyperactive bowel sounds. 5. If the trunk is positive, hyperextension of the patient's trunk or pulling the surgical scar downward will cause pain in the surgical area or other parts. How to prevent adhesions during cesarean section Get up early and move around. It is an important part of preventing intestinal adhesion, helping uterine contraction and promoting wound healing. Because the abdominal cavity is opened during surgery, some air enters the abdominal cavity and is discharged through the intestines. However, there is often less activity after surgery, which weakens intestinal motility and causes intestinal flatulence and adhesion. Experts say that the chance of intestinal adhesion occurring after cesarean section is not very high. Lying in bed, moving your hands and feet, and doing moxibustion on your navel can also play a preventive role. |
