How to accurately determine the ovulation day?

Ovulation is a very important physiological phenomenon for women, and it is the basic condition for pregnancy. Therefore, women do not ovulate every moment. Generally speaking, it is normal to ovulate once a month.

For women, if they want to get pregnant in time, they must grasp the timing of ovulation correctly. Let’s take a look at how to accurately determine the ovulation day. I hope everyone can understand it.

1. Calculated by natural month (only suitable for women with regular menstrual cycle)

The female ovulation cycle is calculated based on the natural month, with each cycle lasting 28 to 30 days. As long as it is regular, it is normal to go a week earlier or later.

If you calculate the ovulation period based on the natural month, only women with very accurate menstrual cycles can calculate it, that is, women with a 30-day cycle. The ovulation period is calculated as 14 days before the next menstrual period, which is the ovulation day.

For example: if menstruation comes on the 28th of each month, then the ovulation day is 14 days before the 28th, that is, the 14th is the ovulation day, and the three days around the 14th are the ovulation period. The chances of getting pregnant during this week are high.

2. Calculate based on body temperature changes

Women have different body temperature stages due to changes in a cycle, so body temperature can be used to measure the ovulation day. The requirements for measuring body temperature are: before getting up in the morning, without exercising or making any large movements, measure the most original body temperature. That is, after waking up, if you don't talk loudly or turn over vigorously, your body temperature at this time is the lowest in the day and is called basal body temperature. By measuring this basal body temperature every day and comparing it with other body temperatures, you can find out the ovulation day. This requires sufficient patience and perseverance, and you need to test it every day. You can place the thermometer on your bedside table so that you can reach it when you wake up. It is best to test before 7 o'clock in the morning.

During the follicular phase (the time when the follicles grow slowly before ovulation), the body temperature is relatively low. The temperature measured by the editor at this time was 36.3, and many sisters who measured together also had a temperature of 36.2-36.3. This can be used as a simple reference. Everyone's basal body temperature is different, so there is no need to worry about this temperature of a few tenths.

On the day of ovulation, body temperature reaches its lowest level during the entire cycle.

After ovulation (luteal phase): the body temperature rises immediately, by about 0.3-0.5 degrees, which is about 36.7-36.8 degrees.

If conception occurs, the body temperature will not continue to maintain a relatively high temperature. If conception fails, the body temperature will return to the basal body temperature of around 36.2 degrees before menstruation.
