Is it harmful to bend over during early pregnancy?

It is not recommended to bend over too much in the early stages of pregnancy, especially bending over violently, which will directly compress the stomach, causing the intestines and internal organs to start shaking in an instant, which will inevitably compress the uterine cavity. In the first three months of pregnancy, you must move slowly, squat down carefully, and not stand up suddenly or jump high.

Having children is an unparalleled happiness for women. However, behind happiness, there is also some harm hidden.

"During diagnosis and treatment, we found that 30%-40% of women who have given birth suffer from pelvic floor dysfunction." Gynecologists say this means that women may suffer from urinary incontinence after giving birth.

30% of mothers experience urinary incontinence. Female pelvic floor dysfunction mostly manifests as urinary incontinence. Because the urethra is relaxed, urine often enters the urethra when standing, so there is often a feeling of urgency and urine incontinence. More than 50% of patients have varying degrees of urination abnormalities. This causes difficulties for patients to go out, and their urinary incontinence causes local infections, which greatly affects their quality of life.

Try not to bend over during pregnancy

The pelvic floor muscles are like springs, supporting tissues such as the uterus, bladder, and rectum. If this spring relaxes, diseases such as urinary incontinence and uterine prolapse will occur. Most women who become ill suffer from this disease due to birth trauma or menopause, which causes the elasticity of the "spring" to weaken.

Macrosomia, multiple births, prolonged labor, forceps delivery, and pelvic surgery may all be risk factors for pelvic floor dysfunction.

In addition, the decrease in estrogen levels and atrophy and degeneration of pelvic floor tissue in women before and after menopause can also lead to urinary incontinence.

However, in the opinion of experts, many similar women in clinical practice can greatly reduce the incidence rate if they take good preventive measures in the early stages.

Experts offer some suggestions to female friends:

During pregnancy, try to avoid doing actions that increase abdominal pressure in your daily life, such as not bending over to pick up things, but squatting down to pick them up, not holding children, and not lifting heavy objects. Alternatively, you can use a belly support belt to reduce the burden on your lower abdomen.

Pelvic floor training should be started as soon as possible after delivery. Generally, one to two weeks after delivery, you can start adding anal and vaginal contraction training and continue for two to six months to help restore pelvic floor function. In addition, develop the habit of regular urination and prevent constipation.
