Breast pain in late pregnancy

Breast pain in late pregnancy

Breast pain in late pregnancy is a common phenomenon among pregnant women, which is mainly caused by changes in hormones in the pregnant woman's body in late pregnancy. In order to relieve and prevent this stinging, pregnant women must pay attention to choosing suitable bras, cleaning their breasts with reasonable methods, and taking good care of their nipples. If conditions permit, they should also massage their breasts regularly to ensure breast health.

1. Choose the right bra

A suitable bra should be able to be tightened or loosened at will; as the bust increases, the bra size needs to be adjusted accordingly; the correct position of the bra to support the nipples should be at the level of the nipple line between the elbow and the shoulder, to prevent the weight of the breasts from pulling the bra towards the back.

2. Breast Cleansing

Pregnant women can prepare a clean towel when cleaning their breasts and wash their breasts with warm water every day. Be careful not to cause irritation or soreness to the nipples when scrubbing. In the last three months of pregnancy, you can use a dry towel to rub the nipples to enhance their elasticity and help prevent nipple rupture. After washing the breasts, it is best to apply a small amount of olive oil on the nipples and gently rotate the nipples with your index finger and thumb for 30 seconds.

3. Nipple care

Place the thumbs of both hands near the inverted nipples, press down on the breast tissue, and then gradually push outward toward the areola. Do it 4 to 5 times every morning or before going to bed. After the nipple is slightly protruding, use your fingers to gently lift it to make it more prominent. Each time you wash your breasts, dry them with a soft towel, pinch the base of the nipple with your fingers and gently pull outwards, and knead the nipple for a few minutes. If you persist in this process for a long time, you can overcome inverted nipples and make them protrude.

4. Breast Massage

1. First, cover the breast with one hand in the opposite direction, and use the palm of the other hand to press the edge of the breast. With the shoulder as the center, use your elbow to slowly push and gently massage from the outside to the inside.

2. Then, support the breast from the outside and bottom with one hand, and use the little finger of the other hand to press against the outside of the palm supporting the breast. With the shoulder as the center, move the elbow slowly upward from the bottom to massage the breast.

3. Finally, still press the breast with the palm of one hand in the opposite direction, and the palm of the other hand on the back of the hand pressing the breast. Use the little finger to apply force to lift the breast just below, and massage from bottom to top.

Breast tenderness is a natural phenomenon in some cases. Relax your mind and don't be too nervous. A little massage may help relieve the pain. However, if you experience long-term bloating and pain, or other symptoms such as discomfort caused by the bloating and pain, you need to go to the hospital for medical treatment and examination to find out the cause, so as to eliminate the doubts in your mind and prepare for delivery with peace of mind.
