Pregnant woman's buttocks have pain in the middle

When a pregnant woman feels pain in the bone in the middle of her buttock groove, it is actually pain in her coccyx, which is very easy to occur during pregnancy. It is not very convenient for pregnant women to move around. When they rest, they mainly sit or lie on their side. Coccyx pain is not only uncomfortable, but will definitely affect their normal rest. We can understand the cause and solve it. So, what is the reason for the pain in the bone in the middle of the buttock groove of pregnant women?

Causes of coccyx pain in early and mid-pregnancy:

1. The first thing to consider is the long-term fatigue and soreness caused by sitting for a long time in expectant mothers. Pregnant mothers are prone to fatigue. Some may experience fatigue in their buttocks, which may be related to their sitting and walking postures. Among them, insisting on working, especially working in a sitting position for a long time, is more likely to cause coccyx pain.

2. During pregnancy, the ovaries of expectant mothers will secrete a substance called relaxin, which gradually increases as the pregnancy progresses. Relaxin can loosen the joints, and as the baby grows in the belly, the abdominal pressure increases, causing coccyx pain.

3. In the early stages of pregnancy, expectant mothers will find that their coccyx hurts a lot. Especially before going to bed at night, sometimes I can't move at all. The reason is that there are many blood vessels around the human coccyx. After pregnancy, the blood vessels in the body may expand, blood circulation may be poor, and pain around the coccyx may occur.

4. The enlarged uterus compresses the nerves. The enlarged uterus during pregnancy compresses the sciatic nerve or surrounding tissues, causing pain. And as your belly gets bigger and you gain weight, it may become more uncomfortable.

5. Sacrococcygeal pain caused by calcium deficiency.

How to relieve coccyx pain during pregnancy?

1. Try to prepare a comfortable chair and put a thick and soft cushion on it.

2. Change your sitting position frequently and do not sit still for a long time. This will not only affect the fetal activity but also the blood circulation of the expectant mother.

3. You can use a hot towel to apply heat and massage the coccyx to increase local blood circulation, relax local muscles, and effectively relieve pain.

4. Reduce the number of times you bend as much as possible and do not carry heavy objects for a long time. If you need to pick up something on the ground, you can squat down to pick it up. It is best to keep your upper body straight when squatting.

5. Maintaining moderate exercise and stretching the body can not only promote blood circulation, but also relax the coccyx area that has been under pressure for a long time, which can effectively relieve pain. Pregnant women can do yoga, walking, swimming, etc., but avoid activities that may aggravate hip pain.

6. When lying down to rest, you can raise your legs a little to allow blood to circulate smoothly and effectively relieve pain.

7. When sitting down, don’t just sit on one-third of the chair. It’s best to keep your waist close to the chair back.
