Step 1: Stand in front of a mirror and observe whether there are any abnormal changes around your breasts.

Carefully observe the appearance, size, and skin of each breast

Changes in color or nipple color, whether there is eczema on the breast, or whether there are ridges on the skin, the difference in height between the two nipples, and whether there is fluid or blood coming out of the nipples. If there are noticeable changes in your breasts, you need to pay attention.

Step 2: Lift one arm and see if the other breast rises with it as normal. Check for any abnormalities at the junction of the upper breast and the armpit.

Raise your hands above your head, turn your body to one side and observe the side of your breasts repeatedly. Use the same method to observe the other side. Place your hands steadily on your hips and press hard until you feel the chest muscles tense up. Then observe to see if the breasts have any different lines than before (such as any protrusions).

, you can check it at several different times a month, so that you can understand how the hardness and skin texture of the breasts change cyclically. After that, change to monthly routine inspection.

Step 3: Lean forward and continue looking for ridges or wrinkles in the skin, changes in the breast contour, or nipple retraction.

If you find that your breasts are asymmetrical, there are lumps or nodules in your breasts, or the texture has become hard, your breast skin is edematous or sunken, or your areola has eczema, you should do a self-examination of your breasts once a month.

If you experience any of these changes, you should go to the hospital immediately and ask a specialist to check.

Step 4: Touch the breasts first, then the armpits, and use the pads of your middle and index fingers to fully examine the breasts in one direction.

Tip: In addition to self-examination, women over 30 years old should see a specialist for examination once a year; women over 40 years old should see a doctor for examination once every six months to detect lesions early and prevent them from happening.

Step 5: Place your right arm under your head. The breast tissue under your arm will move toward the center of your chest. Use your left hand to check the right breast for lumps. Apply a little force when touching it. This will bring your hand closer to the breast tissue and make it easier to touch. Also examine the left breast. If your breasts are large, place a pillow under your left shoulder.

Tip: There are often two extremes in women's breast self-examination. Some women become extremely nervous after finding a lump, which can easily cause tension and harm their health.
