Gynecological inflammation in pregnant women

Gynecological inflammation in pregnant women

Women will have some symptoms of gynecological inflammation. Most mild inflammations can heal on their own, but severe ones require medication to reduce inflammation. Many pregnant women suffer from gynecological inflammation. Many women will develop gynecological inflammation during pregnancy due to endocrine disorders. This not only harms the pregnant women themselves but may also cause harm to the fetus. So what should pregnant women do if they have gynecological inflammation?

How to treat gynecological inflammation during pregnancy

In order to avoid infecting the fetus, pregnant mothers should actively seek treatment for candidal vaginitis. Local vaginal medication is the best treatment, and taking drugs is not advisable. Medication should be different in early, middle and late pregnancy.

Early pregnancy

Because the fetus is in an important period of organ development and formation, drugs can easily have side effects at this time. Experts do not recommend pregnant mothers to use suppositories and oral medications at this time. If the pregnant mother's symptoms are mild, it is best to choose some Chinese medicine lotions to improve the itching symptoms first.

If the infection is more serious, you can scrub the vagina and then apply a suppository locally in the vagina, but this process must be completed by the hospital's obstetrics and gynecology nurse to avoid inadvertent medication that may have adverse effects on the fetus.

Second and third trimester of pregnancy

It is relatively safe to use medication at this time, and the problem should be solved completely at this time.

To avoid infecting newborns, pregnant mothers suffering from candidal vaginitis should choose local treatment with drugs that are harmless to the fetus and be gentle during the operation.

Pregnant mothers should be careful to choose anti-Candida drugs that are less toxic to the fetus. Imidazoles are currently considered superior to nystatin and are considered the first choice.

This type of drug includes clotrimazole (such as Canesten), fluconazole, etc., among which clotrimazole is the safest and most effective. Pregnant mothers can place 100 mg of clotrimazole into the vagina before going to bed.

Secondly, pregnant mothers must actively eliminate certain factors that cause recurrence of candidal vaginitis, such as not wearing tight pants, jeans and chemical fiber underwear, etc., and it is advisable to wear loose and breathable cotton clothes.

Avoid using large doses of hormones or antibiotics, pay attention to perineum cleaning and prevent and treat diabetes, etc.
