What happens if a girl's hymen is broken?

For young girls, the hymen is a very important thing. It is not only a guarantee of chastity, but also can effectively protect the vagina from external factors, including some bacteria, viruses and so on. In life, many little girls lose their virginity for various reasons, and even their hymen may rupture during some strenuous exercise. So, what happens if a girl's hymen is broken?

1. Loss protection

The hymen protects the female vagina, so if the hymen is broken, a natural protective barrier will be lost. The younger the girl, the greater the role of the hymen. Because young girls' ovaries are not fully developed and the estrogen level in their bodies is relatively low, the resistance of their vagina is very weak. The hymen is needed to isolate the invasion of external bacteria, pathogens, etc., and its protective role in the vagina is self-evident. After adulthood, the protective function of the hymen is no longer necessary.

2. Bleeding or even adhesion

After the hymen is broken, most girls will have visible bleeding. For a small number of girls, the bleeding is so small that no blood flows out of the vagina. Therefore, it is impossible to determine whether the hymen is broken by bleeding. Some girls have thicker hymens, and once they rupture, it is likely to cause heavy bleeding, or the hymen may adhere to the urethra because the rupture location is not ideal. If adhesions occur, it can cause difficulty in urination and may also cause urinary tract infection.

What will happen if a girl's hymen is broken? In fact, a broken hymen will not cause much harm to a girl's body. When the hymen breaks, the vagina will lose a layer of protective barrier, but this protective barrier is of little significance to adult girls. As for the rupture of the hymen and bleeding, it is a normal phenomenon. If the bleeding is heavy or adhesion occurs, you need to seek medical attention immediately.
