What causes belching in early pregnancy?

What causes belching in early pregnancy?

When a woman becomes pregnant, her body will undergo many changes. Since everyone's physical constitution is different, the symptoms will also be very different. Most women's physical reactions in the early stages of pregnancy will be particularly strong. The most important manifestation is poor appetite, and even belching after meals. This is caused by changes in the gastrointestinal tract after pregnancy.

Will you burp during early pregnancy?

You may burp in the early stages of pregnancy. This is partly because after a woman becomes pregnant, the secretion of hormones in her body increases, which can easily cause nausea and vomiting. In addition, during pregnancy, a large amount of progesterone is secreted in the pregnant woman's body to stabilize the uterus and reduce the contraction of uterine smooth muscle.

But at the same time, it will also affect the motility of the gastrointestinal smooth muscle, causing indigestion. The above symptoms are normal. Some people call the phenomenon of hiccups during pregnancy "belching" because the high progesterone state during pregnancy relaxes the smooth muscle and slows down the motility of the digestive tract, resulting in acid reflux, belching, indigestion, constipation, etc. Therefore, pregnant mothers will always hiccup in the early stages of pregnancy.

In fact, some of the hiccups in early pregnancy are caused by similar reasons to normal ones: they are often caused by overeating. There are many causes of hiccups, including functional or organic changes in the stomach or esophagus. It is also caused by external substances, biochemical and physical stimulation. For example: too much air entering the stomach and overflowing from the mouth, psychoneurological factors (such as vagus nerve excitement, pyloric spasm), bad eating habits (such as eating or drinking too quickly), excessive swallowing movements (such as too much or too little saliva), etc.

Everyone, please note that you should not be anxious or irritable when hiccups occur. If it is caused by overeating or eating too quickly, it will automatically relieve within a few minutes. If it is caused by chronic diseases, it will be fine after antispasmodic and gastric motility-enhancing treatment. However, do not drink cold drinks or do strenuous exercise when you are burping.

Symptoms of early pregnancy

1. Menopause.

First your period won't come as planned, but you may continue to have a small amount of bleeding during the first three months, which is why some women don't realize they are pregnant until three months into the pregnancy. About seven days into your pregnancy, you'll have what's called implantation bleeding.

2. The breasts become sensitive.

One of the obvious signs of pregnancy is that your breasts start to become sensitive, swollen, and sore for no reason. You may feel something in your breast while trying to find a comfortable position to sleep, while exercising or bathing, or while getting dressed.

3. Fatigue.

In the early stages of pregnancy, you may go to bed earlier but find it harder to get up in the morning. If you have a job, by midday you'll feel the need to lie down somewhere and take a break. Exercise becomes a high-consumption activity. Simple activities like shopping.

4. Frequent urination.

After pregnancy, you will visit the bathroom more frequently. Your family or friends will tell you that you are going to the bathroom more often than before. The reason for this phenomenon is that the expanded uterus puts pressure on the bladder. Also, pregnancy causes the kidneys and bladder to produce more fluid.
