Is it easy to have Down syndrome if you often play with your mobile phone?

Expectant mothers all hope to have a beautiful girl or a handsome boy, and it would be even better if they can have a slim and perfect body. However, this good wish must be based on the health of the baby in the future. Down syndrome, also known as "congenital idiocy", is one of the most common defects among newborns in my country.

1. Is it easy to have Down syndrome if you often look at your phone?

Generally speaking, long-term exposure to mobile phone radiation during pregnancy may cause certain harm to the human body and cause nervous system imbalance. Especially for pregnant women, long-term exposure to mobile phones may cause fetal malformation and miscarriage. The most important period during the first three months of pregnancy is to avoid playing with or reduce the time spent on your phone. The time spent on your phone should also be limited during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.

2. What is the cause of Down syndrome?

Down syndrome is a disease caused by chromosomal abnormalities in the test tube embryo stage. Children with Down syndrome have lower intelligence than normal children, their IQ is naturally slow, and their physical and mental health levels are also relatively low. In other words, it is called "Trisomy 21 Syndrome". Children with Down syndrome have relatively low abilities in learning and life when they grow up, and their life expectancy is also shorter. Therefore, it is very necessary for pregnant women to carry out Down syndrome screening.

3. Which pregnant women are more likely to have Down syndrome children?

1. Pregnant women who have been infected with a virus or have used drugs that may cause fetal malformation

If a pregnant woman accidentally gets infected with a virus or takes malformative drugs by mistake, or if one of the couple works in an area with serious pollution for a long time, it is very likely that the child will be born with Down syndrome, so be careful.

2. Older mothers over 35 years old

About 90% of parents of Down syndrome children are normal people. Therefore, do not think that you do not need to go for a check-up if both husband and wife do not have the genetic disease of Down syndrome. In order to give birth to a healthy child, this prenatal check-up is inevitable, especially for older mothers over 35 years old. The chance of giving birth to a child with Down syndrome is higher, so you need to be more careful.
