Itching around the female urethra

Itching around the female urethra

Most female friends are troubled by itching near the urethral opening. This is a common gynecological disease in women. There are many reasons for this situation. It may be due to not paying attention to hygiene, not changing underwear in time, or it may be caused by bacterial infection. Even if female friends feel itchy in the urethra, they should not be afraid. They can wash it with clean water. If the situation does not improve, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination.

The reasons for female urethral itching may be as follows:

1. Local skin uncleanness: Some women use toilet paper improperly, and the skin of the vulva is soaked by menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, and even urine, feces and sweat, which causes chronic inflammation of the local skin, causing itching of the vulva and urethra.

2. Drug allergy: Women with allergic constitution may suffer from fixed drug rash caused by taking some drugs. In addition to local itching, it may also be complicated by erosion and exudation. If you use drugs for vaginal washing or vaginal insertion, if allergic reactions and contact dermatitis occur, vulvar itching and urethral itching may also occur.

3. Vaginal trichomoniasis: Female friends experience itching of the vulva and vagina, itching of the urethra, and foamy leucorrhea, often accompanied by a special odor. After scratching, the vulva also develops eczematous dermatitis. A vaginal smear test can be used to distinguish it from the above conditions.

4. Fungal vaginitis: Itching of the female vulva, vagina, vaginal opening, urethral opening, vulvar flushing, accompanied by bean curd-like leucorrhea with odor. Scratching can cause eczematous changes of vulvar dermatitis.

5. Urethritis: The general symptoms of urethritis are mainly redness and swelling of the external urethral opening, with serous or purulent secretions on the surface. The onset is acute, usually without fever, and there are symptoms such as pain after urination, urgency, frequency, and turbid urine. Urinating occurs every few minutes, accompanied by a burning sensation and pain in the urethra, which may radiate to the lower abdomen or perineum. Hematuria may sometimes be seen in turbid urine.

Therefore, we would like to remind all women that if you experience symptoms such as itching at the urethral opening, it may be a gynecological inflammation such as vaginitis or urethritis. Women must go to the hospital for treatment in time, identify the cause of the disease, and take targeted treatment measures to avoid worsening of the disease and endangering their health.
