What is the small flesh at the vaginal opening?

The vagina is a very important part of a woman. If there is any abnormality in this place, the impact will be relatively large. The most common problem in the vagina is vaginitis, which only causes some symptoms such as itching and pain. If small lumps appear, you should pay attention to it, as it may be an external manifestation of a sexually transmitted disease. So, what is that little piece of flesh at the vaginal opening? Let’s take a look below.

Small fleshy particles growing on the outside of the genitals may be genital warts. In the early stages of genital warts, most patients with genital warts have lesions of varying sizes and shapes. There may be only a few lesions, or there may be many needle-sized lesions that grow into large tumor-like masses on the genitals, resembling fleshy particles.

These small, fleshy warts can cause pain and itching in the genitals, and the patient may even experience hematuria and difficulty urinating. Genital warts in the rectum may cause pain and bloody stools, while large warts in the rectum may cause a feeling of tenesmus.

Note: Genital warts are highly contagious. If they come into contact with secretions infected with pathogens, daily necessities, public toilet seats, etc., they may cause infection. Therefore, women must pay attention to the personal use of basins and towels, keep the vulva clean and dry, change underwear frequently to reduce irritation from secretions, and wash and disinfect changed underwear separately.

Cyst

If a lump grows on your genitals, it may be the early stage of vulvar cyst. Vulvar cyst is common in the labia majora and perineum, and mainly occurs in the deep tissue of the external skin or mucosal epidermis.

This type of vulvar cyst grows relatively slowly, usually without obvious symptoms, and can be single or multiple. Most cysts are about 1 cm in size, hard in texture, slightly raised on the skin surface, and can move with the skin.

Sebaceous cyst

Small fleshy bumps on the genitals may be sebaceous cysts, also known as cysts. This disease is mainly caused by blockage of the sebaceous gland excretion ducts and expansion of the contents.

Sebaceous cysts are prone to occur in areas rich in sebaceous glands, such as the scalp, face, chest and back. In a few patients, they may grow in the vulva. The tumors are mostly spherical, single or multiple, elastic, adhered to the skin, not easily pushed, with a smooth surface and no sense of fluctuation.

Note: A very small number of patients with sebaceous cysts may develop sebaceous gland cancer, and secondary infection may cause inflammatory reactions such as redness, swelling, heat, and pain.
