What if I am pregnant even though the follicle is luteinized?

The health of follicles is very important to people's bodies, because this is the organ that produces eggs in women and it is an important place that secretes eggs every once in a while. Therefore, women are very concerned about the health of follicles, and problems with follicles are also very common. Among them, luteinization is one of the phenomena that affects the ability to get pregnant. What happens if you get pregnant even though the follicles are luteinized?

Generally speaking, the chance of pregnancy with luteinized follicles is very small, because luteinized follicles mean that the follicles cannot be discharged and will become luteinized, so it will affect pregnancy. Luteinization means that no egg is released, so the egg cannot meet the sperm, a fertilized egg cannot be formed, and implantation cannot occur. Luteinization of follicles is an inconspicuous condition and also a disease of female infertility. The causes of luteinization of follicles include central endocrine disorders, local disorders, drug factors, etc.

This disease can usually only be discovered when a woman goes to the hospital for a check-up when she experiences infertility, but don't worry too much, as luteinized follicle syndrome can be cured. The chance of pregnancy after the treatment of luteinized follicles depends on the patient's physical recovery condition. If necessary, it is recommended that everyone go to a regular specialist hospital for examination in time. With proper treatment, patients can also conceive naturally.

Causes of luteinization:

Ovulation is a complex process completed by the synergistic action of multiple hormones. It is related to the secretion of hormones in the female body. Central endocrine disorders can directly affect the growth and development of follicles and the occurrence of ovulation. Due to the dysfunction of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone releasing center, prolactin increases, which inhibits the secretion of gonadotropin, resulting in a significant decrease in the luteinizing hormone peak value during the follicle luteinization cycle compared to normal, which in turn affects the ovarian function and hinders the activation of collagenase, leading to ovulation disorders. Insufficient luteinization of granulosa cells can reduce progesterone secretion; or due to the increase of prolactin, the synthesis and maintenance of ovarian luteinizing hormone receptors are affected, making the follicles unresponsive to LH and directly luteinizing without ovulation, forming luteinized follicles.
