Reasons for light menstrual flow and yellow complexion

Menstruation is a process of physiological changes that every woman experiences every month. Nowadays, due to various pressures from life and work, many women have problems with their menstruation. Whether menstruation is normal is directly related to the physical health of women. Many people experience a small amount of menstrual flow and a yellow face during their period. What causes this?

Reasons for light menstrual flow and yellow complexion

1. There are many reasons for scanty menstruation, including endocrine disorders, systemic diseases, ovarian tumors, malnutrition, mental stress, long-term use of contraceptives, etc., and also related to liver and kidney deficiency, blood deficiency, qi deficiency, qi stagnation and blood stasis in traditional Chinese medicine. Go to a regular hospital for a comprehensive examination and diagnosis and then treat the cause. Do not eat spicy and irritating foods.

2. There are many reasons for scanty menstruation, such as endocrine disorders, gynecological inflammation, changes in mental environment, and it may also be due to the endometrium itself, such as endometrial tuberculosis causing endometrial lesions or artificial abortion, curettage causing thin endometrium, etc. Long-term scanty menstruation may cause amenorrhea or infertility. It is recommended that you go to the hospital for examination in time, actively treat the symptoms after clarifying the cause, and do not take medicine blindly to avoid affecting your health.

3. Yellow skin may be due to spleen deficiency. Spleen deficiency syndrome is increasingly seen in clinical practice. The so-called "spleen deficiency" refers to sallow complexion, fatigue, anorexia or refusal to eat, or undigested residues in the stool after eating a little more, unformed stool, easy sweating, and frequent colds.

Causes of scanty menstruation

1. Uterine hypoplasia

Menstruation is bleeding caused by the shedding of the endometrium during a woman's ovarian cycle. If the uterus is underdeveloped, for example, it is too small or deformed, then only a small part of the endometrium will be shed during the monthly menstrual cycle, resulting in less menstrual flow. In addition, endometrial lesions induced by endometrial tuberculosis, or damage to the endometrium caused by curettage, may also cause women to experience scanty menstruation or even amenorrhea.

2. Abnormal hormone secretion

Estrogen secreted by women helps the production of their endometrium. If the hormone secretion in the body is abnormal, it will cause the thickness of the endometrium in women to be insufficient, resulting in too little menstrual flow. Many factors can cause problems with hormone secretion in women, such as excessive dieting, irregular work and rest, mood swings, and abnormal reproductive function.

3. Anovulatory menstruation

Anovulatory menstruation usually means that the interval between two menstrual periods of a woman is less than twenty-one days, there are no mature follicles and corpus luteum, and the secretion of progesterone is basically zero. Estrogen levels are closely related to follicles, and will increase or decrease due to the growth and atrophy of follicles. If the secretion of estrogen decreases suddenly, menstruation may come early due to withdrawal bleeding. Because it is abnormal menstruation, the amount of menstruation is very small.
