What are the symptoms of women's lack of trace elements

Trace elements are indispensable substances in the human body. If the human body lacks trace elements, it can easily cause various diseases, which will have a direct impact on people's lives and bodies. Different people have different symptoms of trace element deficiency. Women also have more obvious signs of trace element deficiency. So what are the symptoms of trace element deficiency in women?

1. Iron deficiency

Although the amount of iron consumed by Chinese residents is not low, the amount of iron actually absorbed by the human body is very small and cannot meet the body's needs. This has led to widespread anemia among Chinese residents, especially women, children and the elderly. When the human body lacks iron, it can cause iron deficiency anemia, with symptoms such as loss of appetite, irritability, fatigue, pale complexion, palpitations, and dizziness.

2. Vitamin A deficiency

The national average daily intake is 476 micrograms (157 micrograms of which are vitamin A and 319 micrograms come from the conversion of beta-carotene), which is only 61.7% of the RDA requirement of 800 micrograms. The main function of vitamin A is to maintain visual function in dim light and maintain the health of epithelial cell tissue. People who are deficient in vitamin A may experience dry and rough skin, dry eyes, and fear of light. In daily life, you should eat more foods rich in vitamin A, such as tomatoes, apples, mung beans, bananas, and cabbage.

3. Vitamin D deficiency

The components that directly affect bone condition are calcium and vitamin D. Among the population in China's large cities (over 20 years old), only 0.67% have normal vitamin D levels, while 21% are severely deficient. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is one of the three major hormones that regulate calcium metabolism. It can prevent and treat osteoporosis and rickets in children and is very important for bone health. Moreover, more and more research now confirms that its functions go far beyond these. Recent studies have confirmed that vitamin D deficiency is also related to common chronic diseases such as diabetes, coronary heart disease, hypertension, fatty liver, rheumatoid arthritis, oral diseases, and multiple sclerosis. Foods rich in vitamin D mainly include marine fish, animal liver, egg yolks, lean meat, etc.
