Treatment methods and precautions for incisional pregnancy

When it comes to incisional pregnancy, few people seem to understand it. In fact, to put it simply, it refers to pregnancy at the scar of a cesarean section incision, which is quite dangerous. And most doctors will recommend that pregnant women who have experienced this situation must use contraception. This is because the wall of the scarred uterus is very thin. As the pregnancy progresses, the fetus continues to grow, which may cause heavy bleeding in the pregnant woman, and in severe cases, it may be life-threatening. The cause of incisional pregnancy is still unknown, but it is generally related to poor wound healing. Incisional pregnancy can be treated, but the treatment results are not very ideal, and patients with incisional pregnancy need to pay attention to many things.

1. Causes of incisional pregnancy

Although the cause of CSP is not yet fully understood, it is clearly related to poor healing of cesarean section incisions. The incision scar that heals poorly after cesarean section may have some tiny cracks. In fact, patients can go to the hospital to consult a doctor and pay more attention to their diet in daily life.

2. Treatment of incisional pregnancy

To treat medical abortion, anti-progesterone drugs are used, which bind to progesterone receptors in the body and block the effect of progesterone, thereby causing decidual cell degeneration and necrosis, making it easier for the embryo or placenta to separate from the uterine wall and increasing the sensitivity of the uterus to misoprostol. Misoprostol can cause the uterine smooth muscle to contract, the cervix to dilate, and the gestational sac to be expelled to achieve the purpose of terminating pregnancy. Since the embryonic tissue falls off and is discharged from the uterine wall by itself, it causes little damage to the uterus and is very suitable for abortion of pregnancy after cesarean section scar.

3. Precautions for patients with incisional pregnancy

Patients of this type should pay more attention to their diet, drink more water, eat more fruits, and eat more foods that are good for pregnant women. If they want to have a baby, it is best to wait until the uterus recovers for two or three years before having a baby. If they want to have a baby again after a caesarean section, because the uterus already has scars, if it does not recover well, serious complications such as uterine rupture may occur during pregnancy. Therefore, it is better to wait until the body recovers before having a baby.

It is recommended not to have a picky diet before pregnancy. Eat as wide and varied a diet as possible. Eat more high-protein and high-quality protein foods and more vegetables and fruits. Don't drink alcohol or coffee. Quit smoking. Avoid contact with toxic substances and radiation sources. Quit smoking, drinking and tea, prevent colds, etc. Avoid spicy food.

You should also keep a good attitude at ordinary times and maintain a happy mood that is relaxed and stress-free. In this way, it will not affect the recovery of the body. Do not go to humid places. If you must go for a reason, be careful not to stay too long, otherwise it will not be good for your body.
