What does luteinized follicle mean?

The follicle is the most important part of the female reproductive system and the base camp for producing eggs. Therefore, the health of the follicle is directly related to a woman's ability to become pregnant. In modern life, the busy pace and increasingly serious pollution have caused a series of problems with the follicles of many women, making it extremely difficult to get pregnant. For example, luteinized follicle is an extremely rare disease. So, what does luteinized follicle mean? What are the symptoms?

Follicular luteinization specifically refers to the fact that the follicle matures but does not rupture, the oocyte is luteinized in situ without being discharged, forming a corpus luteum and secreting progesterone, and a series of changes similar to the ovulation cycle occur in the somatic effector organs. It is a special type of anovulatory menstruation and one of the important causes of infertility.

1. Deficiency of Essence

Main symptoms: failure to conceive after a long period of marriage, dull complexion, sore waist and knees, dizziness and tinnitus, scanty menstruation, and lack of sexual desire. If the patient has kidney yang deficiency, he or she may also be afraid of cold and have cold limbs, cold pain in the lower abdomen during menstruation, prefer warmth and pressure, have a plump and tender tongue, a thin white tongue coating, and a deep and slow pulse. If the patient is suffering from kidney yin deficiency, he or she will often be thin, with fever in the five parts of the body, dry throat and thirst, red tongue with little or no tongue coating, and thin and rapid pulse.

2. Qi stagnation and blood stasis type

Main symptoms: failure to conceive after a long period of marriage, depressed temperament, or irritability, bloating and pain in the ribs or lower abdomen before menstruation, belching and loss of appetite, frequent sighing, purple and black menstrual blood with clots, bloating and pain in the lower abdomen, refusal to press, and dark complexion. The tongue is dark purple with petechiae or ecchymosis, the tongue coating is thin white, and the pulse is stringy.

3. Damp-heat and stasis type

Main symptoms: infertility after a long marriage, lower abdominal pain before or during menstruation, burning sensation, or frequent lower abdominal pain, aggravated during menstruation, heavy vaginal discharge, yellow and thick urine, uncomfortable bowel movements, red tongue, yellow and greasy tongue coating, and slippery and rapid pulse.
