How to do an endometrial biopsy

Generally, a curettage or hysteroscopy is performed first, and a puncture biopsy of the uterine wall is performed. If tuberculosis of the uterine wall is found during the puncture biopsy, anti-tuberculosis treatment is required first.

The test should be done 3-7 days after the menstrual period ends. If abnormal bleeding occurs, it can be checked at any time. The examination requires that: there may be bleeding at the biopsy site, so do not have sexual intercourse within 1-2 weeks after the examination, and wait at least half a month after the biopsy to avoid inflammation and infection. Vaginal douching or tub bathing is prohibited. If vaginal bleeding is heavy, you should go to the hospital for a physical examination and treatment.
