Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor that is particularly harmful to women's health. If patients develop ascites after contracting ovarian cancer, this does not necessarily occur in the late stages. Of course, it is more common in the middle and late stages. The presence of ascites indicates that the spread has further increased, posing a serious threat to the patient's health and life safety. If you have ovarian cancer, you must receive good treatment in a timely manner. 1. Comprehensive, staged laparotomy: Applicable to patients with ovarian cancer diagnosed as stage I before surgery. Including total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, omentectomy, pelvic and para-aortic lymph node dissection, and peritoneal cytology (ascites or pelvic and peritoneal washings). 2. Tumor cytoreductive surgery: applicable to cases above stage II. 3. Secondary exploratory surgery: Within 1 year after successful tumor cell reduction surgery, at least 6 courses of chemotherapy were implemented, and clinical examinations and auxiliary examinations (including tumor markers such as CA125) were normal, and laparotomy was performed again. b. Radiotherapy: Most malignant tumors are not well responded to various radiotherapies. Therefore, radiotherapy is not considered first in the treatment of malignant ovarian tumors. If a malignant ovarian tumor is confirmed by laparotomy and cannot be completely removed, external X-ray irradiation can be performed. However, patients with large amounts of ascites are not suitable for radiotherapy. c. Chemotherapy Most ovarian cancers respond well to chemotherapy. In recent years, chemotherapy for tumors has progressed rapidly and plays an important role in the treatment of ovarian cancer. It plays a positive role in improving the treatment effect of ovarian malignant tumors. It can be used as an auxiliary treatment for surgery and is often used before, during and after surgery. However, it often requires intermittent medication for a long period of time, and the toxic reaction to the human body is sometimes greater. In most cases, it is difficult to completely remove the primary and metastatic foci of ovarian cancer through surgery, especially small granular nodules. Some patients are not willing to undergo surgical treatment, and in this case, comprehensive treatment with chemotherapy as the main approach should be considered. d. Due to the rapid growth of tumors, patients in the late stage suffer from malnutrition and weight loss, which leads to cachexia. Treatment methods that are too traumatic or have too many side effects are no longer suitable for patients with advanced ovarian cancer. For patients with mid-to-late stage ovarian cancer, conservative treatment with Chinese medicine is the main method, which can effectively improve the patient's quality of life, improve cachexia, eliminate ascites, strengthen the body, and maximize the patient's survival time. |
