What are the symptoms of urethritis and what is the treatment?

Urethritis is very harmful to women's health and will show certain symptoms. It will cause abnormal urination and lead to symptoms of frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. If you do not pay attention to timely treatment, it is easy to cause chronic pyelonephritis, which often leads to low back pain and abnormal leucorrhea. It can easily induce other gynecological diseases, so if you have urethritis, you must receive good treatment in time to avoid causing greater harm.

1. Abnormal urination

The more common abnormal conditions of urinary tract infection are frequent urination, urgency and pain when urinating. Sometimes patients with urethritis may also experience urinary incontinence and urinary retention.

Chronic renal failure caused by chronic pyelonephritis is often accompanied by polyuria in the early stages, and oliguria or anuria in the later stages.

2. Low back pain

The most common symptom clinically is low back pain, and kidney and perirenal diseases are one of the main causes of low back pain. When the renal capsule, renal pelvis, and ureter are irritated or the tension increases, it may cause pain in the lower back. Generally, lower urinary tract infection will not cause lower back pain.

3. Abnormal urine

Urinary tract infection can cause abnormal changes in urine, the most common of which are bacteriuria, pyuria, hematuria and pneumaturia.

In most cases, most urethritis infections are relatively common infections, and of course their treatment is relatively easy.

However, if it develops into a sexually transmitted disease, it is not only extremely contagious but also difficult to treat. Therefore, when you find the above symptoms, you must seek medical attention in time to prevent the occurrence of lesions, which may lead to difficult-to-treat sexually transmitted diseases.

Symptoms of urethritis in women

Acute urethritis causes burning pain, frequent urination and urgency during urination, and urine examination shows pus cells and red blood cells. Urethritis usually begins with urethral discharge. The discharge is purulent in gonococcal infection and mucous in other microbial infections. Urethral discharge is rare in women.

The secretions of chronic urethritis gradually decrease, or only a small amount of serous secretions can be seen near the urethral opening during the first urination in the early morning. Symptoms of urination irritation are not as obvious as in the acute phase, and some patients may be asymptomatic.
