Is it easy for the uterus to be anterior and the placenta to be previa?

Is it easy for the uterus to be anterior and the placenta to be previa?

There is no relationship between anteverted uterus and placenta previa. After 28 weeks of pregnancy, the placenta will attach to the lower part of the uterus, which can easily cover the internal os of the cervix. This can easily lead to late bleeding, a more serious complication during pregnancy. This is a great threat to the health of pregnant women. At this time, you must absolutely stay in bed to rest and prevent infection.

It is more common in multiparous women, especially multiparous women. Clinically, placenta previa is divided into three types according to the relationship between the placenta and the internal os of the cervix: complete placenta previa or central placenta previa: the internal os of the cervix is completely covered by placental tissue; partial placenta previa: part of the internal os of the cervix is covered by placental tissue; marginal placenta previa: the placenta is attached to the lower segment of the uterus, reaching the edge of the internal os of the cervix but not exceeding it.

The cause is still unclear, but it is often related to the following factors:

1. Multiple pregnancies, multiple artificial abortions, multiple curettage and cesarean sections can all cause damage to the endometrium. When the fertilized egg implants into the uterine decidua, due to insufficient blood supply, the placenta expands in area in order to absorb sufficient nutrients, and even extends to the lower part of the uterus.

2. When the fertilized egg reaches the uterine cavity, its trophoblast is underdeveloped and has not yet developed to the stage where it can implant. It continues to migrate into the lower segment of the uterus, where it grows and develops to form a placenta previa.

3. Some scholars have suggested that smoking and drugs affect the blood supply to the uterus and placenta. In order to obtain more oxygen supply, the placenta expands its area and may cover the internal os of the cervix, forming placenta previa.

4. In multiple pregnancies, due to the large area of the placenta, it extends to the lower part of the uterus and even to the internal os of the cervix.
