Many women are not particularly clear about the difference between retroverted uterus and anterior uterus. This is because the position of the uterus in the pelvic cavity is not fixed. There are anterior, posterior and horizontal positions. Anterior uterus means that the position of the uterus is relatively low, and the chance of pregnancy is relatively high, while the chance of pregnancy is relatively low in posterior uterus, and the horizontal position is a normal position. The position of a woman's uterus in the pelvic cavity can be divided into anterior uterus, median uterus and posterior uterus. Under normal circumstances, the uterus is in an anteverted, anteflexed position. Anteversion: refers to the entire uterus tilting forward. Anteflexion: refers to the angle between the longitudinal axis of the uterus and the longitudinal axis of the cervix and vagina being less than 90 degrees. When the uterus falls backwards towards the rectum, it is called retroverted uterus. There are two types of retroverted uterus: retroverted uterus and retroflexed uterus. When the longitudinal axis of the uterus remains unchanged and the entire uterus tilts backwards, it is called a retroverted uterus. When the uterus is tilted backwards and the junction of the uterine body and the cervix forms an acute angle, it is called a retroverted and retroflexed uterus. The former is more common, the latter is less common. Common causes are ligament relaxation, pelvic diaphragm and broad ligament bottom damage caused by multiple deliveries. There are two positions of the uterus: anterior uterus and posterior uterus. The anterior uterus is generally considered to be the normal position. So, is it better for women to have an anterior or posterior uterus? Experts point out that although an anterior uterus is prone to cause placenta previa, as a normal body position, it is still better than a posterior uterus with a lower chance of pregnancy. An anteverted uterus is actually a normal uterine position, and most women have an anteverted uterus. Severe retroverted uterus may also cause symptoms such as excessive vaginal discharge, lower abdominal pain, back pain, pelvic congestion, menorrhagia, difficulty in menstrual blood discharge, anal swelling, and some women may even experience pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse. |
