When is the best time to test for ovulation?

In fact, there are various ways to monitor ovulation. You can use ovulation test strips or understand the changes in vaginal mucus, but you also need to understand that the best time for ovulation testing is to start monitoring ovulation one week after the end of menstruation.

1. Ovulation test paper

About a week after the end of menstruation, use the ovulation test strip to test once a day. If you find that the ovulation test strip is getting stronger and stronger, you should increase the frequency of testing, and it is best to test once every 4 hours. If you compare the test strips and find that the ovulation test strip begins to weaken and quickly becomes weaker, it means that ovulation is about to occur. The 24-48 hours after the ovulation test paper turns weak is generally the time range for ovulation. Ovulation will definitely occur within 24 hours, and you cannot drink water 2 hours before taking the ovulation test. Do not test with morning urine, it is best to test between 10-20 o'clock.

2. Changes in vaginal mucus

Usually, in the middle of a woman's menstrual period, which is 1-2 days before ovulation, the vagina becomes increasingly moist. Not only does the secretion increase, but it also becomes clear and transparent like egg white, and you can pull out long threads when you touch it with your fingertips. The appearance of such leucorrhea indicates that ovulation is imminent, and it usually lasts for 3-5 days. This is your body's way of welcoming sperm. The purpose is to allow sperm to enter the body more easily and meet the egg. Testing method: First, wash your fingers thoroughly, open your legs, push your uterus forward with your lower abdomen, then insert your fingers into the vagina, you will feel a solid mass, that is the cervical canal. If you are in the ovulation period, it will be full of mucus. Take a little mucus and try to pull it. If it is the day of ovulation, the mucus can be pulled to 10-15 cm.

3. Pain on ovulation day

Some people experience pain in the lower abdomen between menstrual periods, just before ovulation, which is called intermediate pain or ovulation pain. Experts have investigated and found that 97% of the pain in the middle is felt before ovulation. Therefore, if there is pain in the middle, it can be assumed that ovulation will occur within 24 hours.
