How to treat cervical erosion caused by inflammation?

The onset of cervical erosion is caused by many inflammations and is not a simple disease. Cervical erosion is usually divided into three cycles. Usually, in the early stage, we will choose to use medicine first, mainly Chinese patent medicine, and then use some surgery and radio frequency methods in the later stage to completely cure the local erosion. However, there are many methods in the treatment process, which also takes a certain amount of time. Usually, we still have to choose safe means to treat it.

There are generally three types of cervical erosion: mild, moderate and severe. If a woman is of childbearing age and has mild cervical erosion but no symptoms, no treatment is required. There are some physiological factors that cause erosion. If it is moderate to severe erosion, it must be diagnosed in a regular hospital. Except for cervical cancer, some physical treatments can be done. Microwave, laser, freezing, and radiofrequency ablation are more commonly used now, and these treatments are more effective. Generally, one treatment may be enough, or two treatments at most.

Drug treatment can be divided into traditional Chinese medicine treatment and Western medicine treatment. Drug treatment has few side effects and is more suitable for women who have not given birth. The most common drugs for treating cervical erosion abroad are Shadier Gel, Huijian Combination, and topical drug suppositories. However, drug treatment generally has a longer course of treatment and is more expensive.

Physical therapy-suitable for patients with moderate and severe cervical erosion. Commonly used methods include electric ironing, laser therapy, and cryotherapy. The disadvantage is that the side effects are large, and it may cause the nerve sensitivity of the vaginal wall to decrease, which will also have a certain impact on the quality of sexual life. After treatment, it is more likely to relapse.

Surgical treatment - If the above treatment is ineffective, or there is cervical hypertrophy, or the erosion is deep and extensive, and involves the cervical canal, cervical conization or total hysterectomy may be considered. However, surgical treatment is rarely used nowadays. Surgical treatment may cause infertility, so it needs to be chosen carefully.

Note on drug treatment: Do not use during menstruation or pregnancy. Sexual intercourse and bathing are prohibited after taking the medicine. It is not recommended to use any medication for a long time. Long-term use of medication can easily lead to candidal vaginitis, which is an imbalance of the bacterial flora.
