What are the causes of brown vaginal discharge during pregnancy?

Pregnancy marks the beginning of a woman’s motherhood. Women attach great importance to the pregnancy and pay close attention to issues that may affect pregnancy and fetal development. Any small details will be treated with caution. For example, the phenomenon of more brown vaginal discharge in mid-pregnancy is of great concern to pregnant women. So, what are the causes of brown vaginal discharge in mid-pregnancy?

There are three reasons why there is excessive brown discharge.

The first type: there is heat toxin in the body, which is what we call heat. Observe whether your body has other reactions when the leucorrhea is thick, such as internal heat, dry mouth, etc.

The second type: ovulation period. During ovulation, women's body temperature rises, and their leucorrhea becomes thicker than usual and can be pulled out into thin threads. If there are no symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, and back pain, there is basically no big problem. Secondly, leucorrhea is the secretion of the vagina and cervix. Under normal circumstances, the amount is very small, transparent, shiny, sticky, and odorless. However, if it stays in the vagina for too long, it may be slightly yellow, and it increases before menstruation, during ovulation, and during pregnancy. The leucorrhea during ovulation is egg white-like. If the amount of leucorrhea increases, turns yellow, and has an odor, it is mostly a clinical manifestation of vaginitis and cervicitis. You need to go to a regular hospital's gynecology department for routine leucorrhea examinations and receive symptomatic treatment after a confirmed diagnosis. Of course, if you are worried about excessive vaginal discharge, you can go for a routine vaginal discharge check. Women themselves should have regular check-ups.

The third type: The leucorrhea contains other colors, such as blue, red, yellow, white, black, etc. The amount of leucorrhea is too much or it is thick like pus, or thin like water, or it has a foul odor, itching, burning pain in the genitals, as well as low back pain, weak legs, lower abdominal distension and other pathological conditions.

We cannot simply consider vaginal diseases. In addition to vaginitis, other diseases such as cervicitis, pelvic inflammation, cervical cancer, uterine fibroids, uterine adenocarcinoma, vaginal foreign bodies, etc. should be checked in the hospital in time. If the treatment is not timely, the condition will become more serious.
